If this song will be included in the published callout scores that are coming tomorrow, that will probably give us a good idea of why this isn't doing much right now. And given how suspiciously quickly it took off on radio at first, it wouldn't surprise me if its callout scores aren't good.
Anyways, if they push a new single soon, it's probably gonna be something completely new again. I doubt they will push any more of the standard-edition tracks from H&H at this point, as good as some of them are.

With the amount of songs in the top 10 dropping truckloads of spins, there is no excuse for this not charging up those top 10 conversions.
POP: 13 13 AVA MAX My Head & My Heart 8691 8548 143 35.556
= Spins -36 Bullet -0.169 Audience
HOT AC: 18 18 AVA MAX My Head & My Heart 2223 1830 393 9.395
+35 Spins -23 Bullet -0.021 Audience

Yep, I called it yesterday: MH&MH has opened with the worst Positive, Favorite, and Net Positive callout scores on Top 40. I don't see this lasting much longer if things don't improve soon.

I’m not surprised because Ava Max is a female pop star who makes pop music and her name isn’t Ariana Grande (no shade to Ari).

Yikes. The callouts are really terrible. I wonder how soon it’s gonna be dropped by radio if not already by now.

If you're a female with a catchy song you're bound to get hate from the callout people.

I guess the streaming crowd likes this better....???? I thought it’s streaming numbers went way up BECAUSE of radio listeners. This is very surprising.
51.2% positive [15/15] 10% favorite [15/15] 27.4% negative [3/15] 23.8% net pos [15/15] 13.8% burn [7/15]

Only difference is that Levitating is pulling this off a lot better at the moment.

Is this a common phenomenon among songs with easily recognizable samples?
I wonder if people think of it negatively because it relies too heavily on "La La La La La".

Recently I discovered in an older thread that All Around The World has one of the top 10 lowest net-positives ever recorded on Pop since 1999. I guess that song's reputation among radio listeners hasn't changed in over 2 decades.

I hope it gets a second wind on radio and they force people to like it by playing it so much.
I need Ava to come over to the UK to promote. It's doing really well here. If she came to promote it could be a top 10 hit!

But even with those disastrous callouts Around the World went top 10 gghunt.utasites.cloud/charts/atc.html one would think it was a way bigger hit in the US. I wonder if MH&MH will miss top 10. Both songs are catchy but I like the ATC version a bit more, maybe bc of nostalgia,

Someone somewhere in the chain is desperately confused. I mean, why do they keep getting their callout scores from people who don't like pop? :sip2: POP:13 13 AVA MAX My Head & My Heart 8667 8582 85 35.412 -24 Spins -58 Bullet -0.144 Audience HOT AC:18 17 AVA MAX My Head & My Heart 2251 1881 370 9.402 +28 Spins -23 Bullet +0.007 Audience

I don’t really get all these “Oh, pop radio listeners suck” and “They hate female singers with catchy songs” arguments when SBP and K&Q did just fine on callouts and had respectable runs to boot. Maybe (gasp!) audiences just aren’t feeling this one from her as much as they did the last two.

willow... Bad Never Really Over... Horrible Rain on Me... Meh Go Crazy... Love it AJR... Stan I don't think "trash" is harsh enough! As for Ava’s two past hits, didn’t both of those start with mediocre callouts but eventually listeners warmed up to them over time? I’m not sure about SBP, but "Kings & Queens" debuted with amazing callouts (I believe it debuted at #1)

It did, however, debut on Hot AC callouts, where it posted one of the most positive impressions ever recorded on that format. And yet it still didn’t do much there regardless.
