I didn't think her performance was nearly as bad as what people are saying, but hey that's just me. I thought she did good/looked fantastic. The transition between the songs wasn't well executed. I was expecting the curtain to reopen at some point, not just have the olivia clones dancing around in front of a solid colored curtain for 2 minutes. Oh yeah agreed! The transition was iffy/poorly-executed, but for me personally her vocals weren't bad and I actually enjoyed her energy/the performance overall/didn't think it was disastrous.

finally listened to the album in full. I think it's about on the same level as Sour quality-wise. Songwriting and vocally she still hit mostly the same mark as she did with Sour, which isn't bad since she does do it well and there's enough growth and variance for the whole thing to not completely feel like Sour 2.0. While she slightly miss the mark in some songs, her greatest strength as a singer and songwriter is definitely her ability to emote in her songs. It can feel kinda too dramatic at times but boy do I certainly get the feeling she's trying to convey.
It's a good album overall and I'm optimistic about her future success and capacity for growth as a musician. Her VMA performance is clunky but I think it's mostly on the weird transitions and her still growing into being a performer. she have decent live vocal, especially for her age and still this early in her career. stage presence can use plenty of improvement, but if Dua Lipa can do it I think Olivia can too if she put in the effort.

Her singing was mostly flat. She was even dodging notes. It came across as a high school theater performance. It is what it is. I still love her music and will be bumping both her albums, but I can't ignore what I heard during her performance. She can do (and has done) better, so I am confident that she will work it out. Coulda been nerves, coulda been shitty sound, maybe she couldn't hear herself. She isn't the first and won't be the last.

Yeah, Rihanna, Ariana Grade, Dua Lipa and even Taylor Swift also dropped some clunky performances this early into their careers. If she keeps working hard she'll improve.

Shocking that the VMA’s is even still a thing. She will be fine.

I think she will improve. Getting on stage is very tough and it’s not like she has had many opportunities during her career. It’s used to be that artists would develop themselves performing live in small venues, no more though.

Cleveland skipped over by another major current artist it seems. So frustrating. We only seem to get legacy acts here recently.

It seems like everyone big goes to the Cavs' arena. I wonder if Columbus having such a huge population plus Pittsburgh being 2 hours away draws performers away from us.

I'm sorry, y'all, but Making The Bed is the best thing she has ever done and I saw that as a hardcore Vampire stan. Dan Nigro really is her Jack Antonoff. A match made in heaven, really. I hope this album gets Grammy love. She really said she is not fucking around on this album, huh? Also, she sounds absolutely unhinged on Logical and I love that about her. I need her to get it under control so she can really master the stage because I know she has the talent.

After watching her VMA performance, I think she's in a similar boat to Dua Lipa, where the dancing and stage presence will come with more practice and experience.

Guts World Tour with dates in USA, Canada, Europe & Asia to be announced soon, allegedly. Europe & US announced. she’s playing arenas thank god Her Oslo date just got upgraded from Spektrum Scene (11500 seats) to Telenor Arena, which is 25,000 seats I didn't expect this much demand for the tour.

What have her pop peaks been so far on Mediabase? "Drivers License," "Good 4 U" and "Vampire" made #1, "Deja Vu" made #2 (it was blocked by "Good 4 U" making it to #1 first), and "Traitor" made it to #7.

So bad idea, right is her lowest charting so far at number 15, which probably will continue to go up.
