Now this week is definitely very exciting for the global charts because it's when the Eurovision 2021 fallout starts taking effect! We have a TON of new countries represented, especially on the Excl. US chart, this week. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jSdctFcLyQl6HJYoi9Jr2OHFGkn-TBnxWVFNxMlzrto/edit?usp=sharing- First of all, I'll mention that South Korea is back on top of both charts, giving the republic its 5th (and 6th on the Excl. US chart) #1 single. Really shows the Korean dominance on the music industry. - Both Bella Poarch and Boney M. grab tiny new peaks for their nations by moving up one spot each, but it does show the incredible stability of both TikTok songs. - Now onto the main event... We start with the winners of Eurovision, Italian band Måneskin! Their victorious single "Zitti e buoni" ("shut up and behave" in English) explodes to #26 on the main chart and #11 on the Excl. US chart, which demolishes the previous Italian peaks held by Meduza! This also makes them one of the highest charting songs ever on the chart not sung in English. Those are some very unfortunate placements though, one number off from the 25 and 10 milestones. - The only other Eurovision 2021 act that makes a splash on the main chart is Ukraine's Go_A! As someone of Ukrainian decent, this is quite the win. "Shum" ("noise" in English) ekes into the bottom half on the main chart but gives a new top-half peak for Ukraine on the Excl. US chart, where it appeared for the first time just a month ago. - The rest of the news today concerns the Excl. US chart, and I'll shoot through all of em here because the story is the same for almost all of them. All appearing on the bottom half of the chart, Finnish band Blind Channel brings Finland to the chart for the first time. Just under that, Swiss-Albanian singer Gjon's Tears gives new peaks for both nations with his song that represented Switzerland in the contest through "Tout l'univers" ("the whole universe" in English). After that, Daði Freyr brings Iceland to the table. Annnnd finally, Greek singer (who sang for Cyprus in the contest) Elena Tsagrinou gives Greece a surprisingly late entry on the chart! Her song is "El diablo" (take a guess what that means in English) - The final bit of news is unexpected and has TikTok to thank. Australian Justin Wellington has a cover of New Orleans R&B standard "Iko Iko" blowing up on TikTok, which happens to feature Small Jam, a band from the Solomon Islands! That cover appears only on the Excl. US chart, but it gives the first Pacific Islander rep on either chart (if you don't count the Philippines I guess which is categorized under Asia here) - Whew, that was a lot! Let's round off as usual with the June 5 specific news. The Weeknd and Justin Bieber once again switch the Canadian leader. Dermot Kennedy finally loses to fellow Irishman Niall Horan because of the latter's new single with Anne-Marie. Yoasobi prove they're the biggest Japanese stars in a while by taking the Japanese leader title from themselves with two different songs on the two charts.

Billboard's two worldwide tallies rank songs based on streaming and sales data from more than 200 territories.
BTS' "Butter" stands pat atop both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, reigning for a second week after launching at No. 1.
Plus, Rauw Alejandro's "Todo de Ti" vaults from No. 31 to No. 3 on the Global 200 and 18-3 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart in its second week on both surveys.
Elsewhere, Måneskin's "Zitti E Buoni" reaches the Global Excl. U.S. top 10, following its win in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.
Billboard's two global charts (the latest of which are dated June 12) began last September and rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by MRC Data. The Billboard Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the U.S.
Chart rankings are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts' calculations.
Second-Best Streams for 'Butter' Atop Global 200
BTS' "Butter" adds a second week atop the Billboard Global 200, with 169.8 million streams (down 41%) and 73,300 sold (down 71%) worldwide in the May 28-June 3 tracking week. The streaming sum is the second-greatest in a week dating to the Global 200's inception, following the 289.2 million that it logged in the May 21-27 tracking week following its May 21 release.
Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" holds at No. 2 on the Global 200, two weeks after opening at No. 1, with 122.8 million streams (down 10%) and 18,400 sold (down 20%).
Rauw Alejandro's "Todo de Ti" rockets 31-3 on the Global 200, with 102.6 million streams (up 180%) and 2,000 sold (up 96%) worldwide.
The track was released in full May 21 after being teased on Alejandro's Instagram account May 16, drumming up early interest in it -- literally, as the artist sat behind a drum set, playing to the rhythm of the song, which departs from his typical reggaeton/urban vibe.
The Puerto Rican rapper and singer-songwriter achieves his first Global 200 top 10. He previously reached a No. 22 best in February with "Baila Conmigo," with Selena Gomez.
The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's "Save Your Tears" surges 8-4 on the Global 200, following its one-week reign in May. After the pair performed it on the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards, which aired live on Fox, May 27, the song sports worldwide gains of 19% in streams, to 73.5 million, and 35% in sales, to 20,600. (The Weeknd also won for male artist of the year during the broadcast.)
Rounding out the Global 200's top five, Dua Lipa's "Levitating," featuring DaBaby, drops 4-5, after reaching No. 2.
'Butter' Reigns Again Outside U.S.
BTS' "Butter" concurrently claims a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, with 151.3 million streams (down 41%) and 41,600 sold (down 72%) in territories outside the U.S. in the May 28-June 3 tracking week.
As on the Global 200, the song boasts the second-best streaming sum so far on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, following its arrival with 257.4 million outside the U.S. the week before.
Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" spends a second week at its No. 2 high on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, while Rauw Alejandro's "Todo de Ti" blasts 18-3, with 94.4 million streams (up 187%) and 1,000 sold (up 113%) beyond the U.S., becoming his first top 10 on the ranking; he previously hit a No. 15 high with "Baila Conmigo."
The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's "Save Your Tears" rebounds 5-4 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, after reaching No. 2, and Lil Nas X's "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)" descends 3-5, after six weeks at No. 1.
Also in the Global Excl. U.S. top 10, Måneskin's "Zitti E Buoni" reaches the region, led by its 31.5 million streams (up 6%) outside the U.S. in the week ending June 3. The Italian quartet's track is the newly-minted champion of the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, whose finale was held May 22. The Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts (dated June 12) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (June 8). For both charts, the top 100 titles are available to all readers on Billboard.com, while the complete 200-title rankings are visible on Billboard Pro, Billboard's subscription-based service. For all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram.

Ahhh nice to have a cooldown week from the excitement of the last two. There's a looooot of drop-out from Eurovision this week, with only Måneskin and Go_A staying on either chart. But there's still some news to cover, so let's get to that! docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jSdctFcLyQl6HJYoi9Jr2OHFGkn-TBnxWVFNxMlzrto/edit?usp=sharing- Speaking of Måneskin, they just keep rising! Not only are two other songs from the "Zitti e buoni" album charting here, their victory song from ESC has reached yet higher peaks on both charts. They've even entered the top 10 on the Excl. US chart! This is not just a game show event anymore, this is becoming a HIT. - "Build a Bitch" by Bella Poarch has also continued to rise slowly, showing it's more than just a TikTok meme. She gives the Phillippines its first top 20 hit on the main chart! New peaks here all around. - Another subtle new peak, "Ram Pam Pam" and Natti Natasha have taken over the Dominican Republic all time peak on both charts by just two spots (#52 on main, #33 on Excl. US) from El Alfa's collaboration with Camilo. She was actually the first Dominican to chart here wayyy back last fall, and now she's taken her throne back! - That funny "Rasputin" remix just won't stop, so the members of Boney M. that represent Montserrat and Aruba give yet another new peak to those overseas territories. They get to the top 50 on the Excl. US chart, too. - Finally, only on the Excl. US chart, that viral TikTok track from last week featuring Solomon Islands band Small Jam is still rocketing, so it gives the island nation a nearly top 100 peak. - Here's the news specific to June 12th! Rauw Alejandro rules over Puerto Rico and is one spot off from ruling the entire USA through "Todo de Ti" catching on. "Phantom Thief" by Japanese band Back Number finally gives us a Japanese leader that's not Yoasobi. Insert Persona 5 joke here... On the Excl. US chart, Loredana comes back to rep Switzerland after Gjon's tears falls out, and Mali makes its second ever appearance with Aya Nakamura's "Bobo" which is just a great title.

Billboard's two worldwide tallies rank songs based on streaming and sales data from more than 200 territories.
Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" adds a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and BTS' "Butter" spends a third frame atop the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.
Plus, Bad Bunny's "Yonaguni" starts at Nos. 3 and 4 on the respective rankings. The song by the Puerto Rican rapper and singer-songwriter is sung mostly in Spanish, with added lyrics in Japanese.
Billboard's two global charts (the latest of which are dated June 19) began last September and rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by MRC Data. The Billboard Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the U.S.
Chart rankings are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services -- as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts' calculations.
'Good 4 U' Best on Global 200
Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" rebounds from No. 2 for a second week at No. 1 on the Global 200, three weeks after opening at the summit, with 109.5 million streams (down 11%) and 17,600 sold (down 5%) worldwide in the June 4-10 tracking week.
Both of Rodrigo's Global 200 No. 1s have now led for multiple weeks, as the California native's breakthrough smash "Drivers License" dominated for eight weeks beginning in January.
BTS' "Butter" drops to No. 2 after two weeks atop the Billboard Global 200, while Bad Bunny's "Yonaguni" soars onto the chart at No. 3 with 101.2 million streams and 5,800 sold globally in its first week, following its June 4 release.
"Yonaguni" (named after an island in Japan) starts as Bad Bunny's third Global 200 top 10 since the list launched, after "Dákiti," with Jhay Cortez, reigned for three weeks in November-December and "La Noche de Anoche" hit No. 7 in December.
Rauw Alejandro's "Todo de Ti" slips to No. 4 on the Global 200 from its No. 3 high and The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's "Save Your Tears" descends 4-5 following its one-week command in May.
'Butter' No. 1 for 3rd Week Outside U.S.
"Butter" by South Korea's BTS logs a third week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, with 106.1 million streams (down 30%) and 36,600 sold (down 12%) in territories outside the U.S. in the June 4-10 tracking week.
Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" posts a third week at its No. 2 high on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, while Rauw Alejandro's "Todo de Ti" keeps at its No. 3 best. As it bounds in at No. 3 on the Global 200, Bad Bunny's "Yonaguni" enters the Global Excl. U.S. survey at No. 4 with 74.2 million streams and 1,000 sold outside the U.S. He claims his third Global Excl. U.S. top 10, following "Dákiti" (No. 1, five weeks) and "La Noche de Anoche" (No. 8). The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's "Save Your Tears" rounds out the Global Excl. U.S. top five, falling 4-5 after reaching No. 2. The Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts (dated June 19) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (June 15). For both charts, the top 100 titles are available to all readers on Billboard.com, while the complete 200-title rankings are visible on Billboard Pro, Billboard's subscription-based service. For all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram.

And with that, the last remnants of Eurovision outside of the winner have disappeared from either chart. But there was still news this week so let's see what changed! docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jSdctFcLyQl6HJYoi9Jr2OHFGkn-TBnxWVFNxMlzrto/edit?usp=sharing- First of all, we have a sudden new peak for China, and it's for the same reason as its last new peak a month ago. Just as with NCT Dream before, South Korean boy band Exo charts for China because of a Chinese member, Lay. They also market heavily to China and release songs in Mandarin too so that helps. "Don't Fight the Feeling" off their new EP gives China a new peak on both charts, including a top 50 placement on the Excl. US chart. - We also have a new country altogether! I mentioned previously how a viral TikTok track gave Solomon Islands band Small Jam a hit on the Excl. US chart, and now they've crossed over to the bottom half of the main chart! From what I can tell, the track is going viral because it contains the lyric "bestie" a few times in the chorus, which is just great. They also finally get to the top half of the Excl. US chart, too. - And that's all! Love a good cooldown week after the excitement of the last two. Now onto the stuff specific to June 19. Sech conquers himself for the Panamanian leader with the next single off his album. Kenshi Yonezu takes over for Back Number to top Japan. Shockingly, Måneskin's Eurovision winner song has been overtaken by non-single album track "I Wanna Be Your Slave" from that same album, as the latter is going mega viral on TikTok. They're of course still the Italian leaders on the charts. And finally, María Becerra seems to be proving she's an Argentine force to be reckoned with as her collab with J Balvin rises over her collab with Tini.

'Good' Still Best on Global 200

Hot 'Butter'
"Butter" by South Korea's BTS adds a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, with 77.2 million streams (down 27%) and 15,800 sold (down 57%) in territories outside the U.S. in the June 11-17 tracking week.

Elsewhere in the Global Excl. U.S. chart's top 10, Måneskin ascends to the tier as "I Wanna Be Your Slave" jumps 18-10, up 18% to 29.6 million streams and 3% to 2,300 sold outside the U.S.
Måneskin Talk Winning Eurovision and Those 'Offensive and Baffling' Allegations The group achieves its second Global Excl. U.S. top 10, after "Zitti E Buoni" also rose to No. 10, two weeks earlier. Pretty normal week with mostly just songs that were already rising charting higher, but let's get into the details. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jSdctFcLyQl6HJYoi9Jr2OHFGkn-TBnxWVFNxMlzrto/edit?usp=sharing- Very very surprising developments here, as Måneskin's "I Wanna Be Your Slave" which was going wild on TikTok has now outpeaked their ESC winner song entirely on the main chart, and it's tied the peak on the Excl. US chart. So it seems this band really is here to stay. This of course is a new peak for all of Italy as well. - María Becerra just keeps trouncing the rest of Argentina! Nicki Nicole's previous Argentine peak on both charts is surpassed by Becerra's collab with J Balvin, which includes a first top 20 peak for the nation on the Excl. US chart. - The Solomon Islands and their song about besties, courtesy of Small Jam, keeps rising due to its virality and comes reeeeeal close to top 100 on the main chart and top 50 on the Excl. US chart. - And that's all for new all-time peaks, but what about the June 26 specific news? Obviously, Lorde takes the New Zealand crown for the week from Jawsh 685, but she can never take his peak! That Regard and Troye Sivan collab takes the leader position for the Kosovar and South African rep respectively (and Tate McRae is there too). On the Excl. US chart, a Martin Garrix song featuring U2 members Bono and the Edge temporarily take the Ireland leader from Niall Horan.

Plus, new hits out of Brazil & Argentina.
The June 26-dated Billboard Global 200 is infused by debuts from Polo G (13) and Migos (10). These American rap acts miss out, nearly entirely, however, on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, where they premiere one song apiece.
But elsewhere on the latter ranking, notable international artists get started, spanning Italy, India, Brazil and France.
Following consecutive weeks with debuts by 2021 Eurovision Song Contest champion Måneskin, Italy continues to shine via "Mille," new at No. 95. The song pairs rappers Fedez and Achille Lauro with legendary Italian pop singer Orietta Berti. The first global chart appearance for all three acts, it opens with 11.5 million streams and 3,900 sold outside the U.S. in its first week (ending June 17), according to MRC Data. In addition to three songs by Måneskin, plus titles by Sangiovanni and Meduza, Italy scores its most representation yet on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
Indian singers Badshah and Aastha Gill debut at No. 173 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart with "Paani Paani," as the Hindi-language track amassed 19.8 million streams outside the U.S. Like Jubin Nautiyal and Emraan Hashmi's "Lut Gaye" before it, as detailed here, "Paani Paani" continues the trend of Indian acts leading the way in video streaming. In the tracking week, 19.1 million, or 96%, of the song's total streams were from video services, the largest share of any song on this week's chart.
In line with the aforementioned international collaborations, five Brazilian acts enter at No. 182 with "A Cara Do Crime (Nos Incomoda)." Poze, Bielzin, Cabelinho, PL Quest and Neo Beats join forces, earning 11.5 million streams. It's the second chart entry for Poze, following "Vida Louca" (at No. 158 in its ninth week on the chart), and the first appearance for the other four artists.
Elsewhere, "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 40" pairs Argentina's Bizarrap with Puerto Rico's Eladio Carrion at No. 81, while France's Vegedream arrives at No. 175 with 2018's "Ramenez La Coupe a La Maison." Plus, the week's highest debut comes via New Zealand, as Lorde returns at No. 33 with "Solar Power."

'Good' Still Best
Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" claims a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, as the leader by the southern California native drew 89.6 million streams (down 10%) and sold 14,900 (down 3%) worldwide in the June 18-24 tracking week.
BTS' "Butter" keeps at No. 2 after two weeks atop the Global 200; The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's "Save Your Tears" stays at No. 3, following its one-week reign; Dua Lipa's "Levitating," featuring DaBaby, lifts 6-4, after reaching No. 2; and Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More," featuring SZA, pushes 7-5, after hitting No. 3.
'Butter' Stays Hot
"Butter" by South Korea's BTS logs a fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, with 89.9 million streams (up 16%) and 16,900 sold (up 7%) in territories outside the U.S. in the June 18-24 tracking week.
Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" posts a fifth week at its No. 2 high on the Global Excl. U.S. chart; Rauw Alejandro's "Todo de Ti" holds at its No. 3 best; The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's "Save Your Tears" is steady at No. 4, after reaching No. 2; and Bad Bunny's "Yonaguni" is stationary at No. 5, two weeks after it bowed at No. 4.
Elsewhere in the Global Excl. U.S. chart's top 10, Måneskin roars to the region as "Beggin' " blasts 21-7, up 69% to 40.8 million streams and 101% to 4,200 sold outside the U.S.

This week was slow in some ways, exciting in others! (For example 6 of the top 10 songs on both charts stayed in exactly the same position...) docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jSdctFcLyQl6HJYoi9Jr2OHFGkn-TBnxWVFNxMlzrto/edit?usp=sharing- Måneskin are going WILD dudes! They have given a new peak for Italy on both charts yet again with a THIRD different song. ("Beggin'" this time) This shoots them into the top 20 on the main chart and deeper into the top 10 on the Excl. US chart. They just keep outdoing themselves, and at this moment you could probably call them the biggest rock act worldwide by this metric. When will they stop growing? Who knows - But Italy is not the only country with a new peak this week. Let's start with Argentina, where María Becerra (working with J Balvin) comes one spot short of top 20 on the main chart, but still overtakes herself from last week for a new all time high. - Solomon Islands band Small Jam has their song about besties still riding that viral wave, and it finally breaks into the top half of the main chart this week and the top 50 of the Excl. US chart. - Once again, that "Rasputin" remix is making steady gains which grants small new peaks on both charts for the territories of Montserrat and Aruba. - What makes this week special is we have few new peaks from songs that were already growing, but there's only really one case of the week-specific changes I usually go over... which was gone over with Italy's section above. Every other song pretty much kept it's crown. So I don't have much else to add about July 3rd! Except one note about Seventeen members Jun and The8, both Chinese, continuing the trend of South Korean boybands putting China back on the chart.

Six weeks ago, Colombian newcomers Crissin, Totoy El Frio and Natan & Shander arrived on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart with "Poblado." A week later, the song entered the Billboard Global 200. As it remains on both rankings (at Nos. 111 and 184, respectively), a remix with some familiar faces debuts separately on the July 3-dated surveys. J Balvin, Karol G and Nicky Jam score the week's highest debut on both the Global Excl. U.S. chart (No. 44) and the Global 200 (No. 50) with "Poblado (Remix)," now sporting the three artists on the original version in featured roles.
With the exception of oft-covered holiday titles, "Poblado" is only the second song to hit the two tallies (since their September 2020 starts) in multiple iterations simultaneously. Balvin & co. follow Travis Scott, whose original 2016 "Goosebumps" has logged 39 weeks on the Global 200; in January, Spanish producer HVME debuted his remix, co-billed with Scott, and both versions have charted alongside one another for most of 2021 so far.
(Additionally, Boney M.'s "Rasputin" has charted in its original 1978 version and via Majestic's remix, but not simultaneously.)
"Poblado (Remix)" arrives with 27.1 million streams and 1,900 sold worldwide in the week ending June 24, according to MRC Data. Both versions of the song over-performed overseas, with 88% of streams for the original and 85% for the remix from outside the U.S., although the remix is significantly more video-forward. In its first full week of release, the remix drew 63% of its streams via video services and 37% from audio platforms, compared to the original's nearly opposite split of 65% audio and 35% video.
The remix's debut, higher than the original's peak on either chart so far, is perhaps not too surprising. While it's the second global chart appearance for Crissin, Totoy El Frio and Natan & Shander, "Poblado (Remix)" is the 16th for Balvin, the seventh for Karol G and the third for Nicky Jam, with their combined star power, prominent in the new video, lending itself to am already showier placement than that of the original.
Elsewhere, South Korean boy band Seventeen secures its first entry on both the Global Excl. U.S. chart and Global 200 as "Ready to Love" starts at Nos. 93 and 188, respectively. The song is from the group's new release Your Choice: 8th Mini Album (released June 18), which arrives at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales and World Albums charts and No. 15 on the Billboard 200.
Also making their first appearances on the Global Excl. U.S. chart: Argentina's Bandido, with "No Me Conocen" (No. 112); Japan's Zutomaya, with "Inside Joke" (No. 122); and Brazil's Mari Fernandez, with "Nao, Nao Vou" (No. 147).

Billboard's two worldwide tallies rank songs based on streaming and sales data from more than 200 territories.
Ed Sheeran's "Bad Habits" soars in at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, while Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" tops the Billboard Global 200 for a fifth week.
Notably, Sheeran is the first act from the U.K. to top either global tally since the lists launched last September.
Plus, Måneskin's "Beggin' " reaches the top five of both global charts, becoming the first top five entry on each ranking for the Italian quartet that won the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, and Nio Garcia, J Balvin and Bad Bunny jump to the top 10 of both surveys with "AM."
Billboard's two global charts (the latest of which are dated July 10) rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by MRC Data.
Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" tallies a fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, as the leader by the southern California native drew 85.6 million streams (down 4%), the week's top streaming sum, and sold 15,000 (up 1%) worldwide in the June 25-July 1 tracking week.
Rodrigo now claims the two longest commands in the Global 200 chart's brief history, as her "Drivers License" led for eight weeks beginning in January; "Good 4 U" shares second place with Lil Nas X's "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)," which ruled for five weeks starting in April.
Ed Sheeran's "Bad Habits" launches at No. 2 on the Global 200 with 65 million streams and 72,800 sold worldwide, the week's top sales total.
Released June 25, the song marks the English superstar's first Global 200 top 10 since the chart began. It eclipses his prior best, set when "Afterglow" reached No. 13 in January.
Sheeran, whose promotion of "Habits" in the tracking week included a June 30 performance on BBC One's The One Show, sends the song in directly at No. 1 on The Official UK Singles chart, where it's his 10th topper. He's the ninth act with 10 or more No. 1s, a list led by Elvis Presley with 21.
BTS' "Butter" dips 2-3 after two weeks atop the Global 200 and Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More," featuring SZA, rises 5-4, after hitting No. 3.
Måneskin achieves its first Global 200 top five, or even top 10, hit as "Beggin' " surges 12-5, up 50% to 66.5 million streams and 88% to 9,800 sold worldwide.
Meanwhile, the song, written by Peggy Farina and Bob Gaudio, adds another chapter to its chart history, after it was originally a No. 16 Billboard Hot 100 hit for the Frankie Valli-fronted Four Seasons in 1967. In 2009, Norwegian duo Madcon returned it to the top 40, taking its version to No. 34. Plus, Phillip Phillips' cover hit No. 20 on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart in 2012 after he performed it as a top-three finalist (and the eventual champion) on American Idol that season.
Elsewhere in the Global 200's top 10, Nio Garcia, J Balvin and Bad Bunny soar 40-10 with "AM." Following the first tracking week for its remix adding J Balvin and Bad Bunny, the song (first released in January) sports gains of 173% to 70.8 million streams and 273% to 2,400 sold globally.
Garcia, from Puerto Rico, and J Balvin, from Colombia, each earn their first Global 200 top 10. Bad Bunny, also from Puerto Rico, posts his fourth, a total that includes his three-week No. 1 "Dákiti," with Jhay Cortez.
Sheeran Scores First Global No. 1 for a UK Act
Ed Sheeran's "Bad Habits" premieres at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart with 48.7 million streams and 41,600 sold in territories outside the U.S. in the June 25-July 1 tracking week.
The Halifax, West Yorkshire-born Sheeran scores not only his first Global Excl. U.S. No. 1, but the first leader on either global chart by an artist from the UK.
BTS' "Butter" retreats to No. 2 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, following five weeks at No. 1; Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" drops to No. 3, after five weeks at its No. 2 high; Måneskin's "Beggin' " pushes 7-4, becoming the group's first top five hit among three top 10s; and Rauw Alejandro's "Todo de Ti" descends to No. 5 from its No. 3 best. Plus, Nio Garcia, J Balvin and Bad Bunny's "AM" bounds 28-7 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, powered by 58.5 million streams (up 157%) outside the U.S. Garcia notches his first Global Excl. U.S. top 10, J Balvin tallies his second and Bad Bunny adds his fourth; "Dákiti" led the list for five weeks. The Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts (dated July 10) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (July 7). For both charts, the top 100 titles are available to all readers on Billboard.com, while the complete 200-title rankings are visible on Billboard Pro, Billboard's subscription-based service. For all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram.

Certainly the Global charts are currently more accurate than the Hot 100 is, It would be nice if the Sales formula was similar for that chart like with these Global charts.

Powered by new albums, American pop and hip-hop stars Tyler, the Creator and Doja Cat blanket the Billboard Global 200 (dated July 10) with debuts. But outside the U.S., a wide variety of rising international acts bring additional flair to the global charts, adding to a sprawling list of more than 40 territories and 20 languages that have been represented on the global charts since the lists' September 2020 launches.
Mata, the first artist from Poland to hit the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, debuts at No. 198 with "Kiss Cam (Podryw Roku)," also the first global chart hit sung in the Polish language. The song by the 20-year-old rapper-singer from Wrocław debuts with 10.3 million streams (up 49%) outside the U.S. in the week ending July 1, according to MRC Data.
The streaming sum is powered most heavily by its official music video, with 6 million video streams from video services and 4.3 million from audio platforms. Of all 200 songs on the survey, "Kiss Cam (Podryw Roku) is one of only 18 to draw the majority of its streams from video services.
In addition to Doja and Tyler's barrage of arrivals, one other act scores multiple entrances, as Japanese singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu debuts two titles on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. "Shinigami" starts at No. 55 (and No. 148 on the Billboard Global 200), while "Daydream" comes in at No. 173.
"Shinigami" and "Daydream" rank as the week's second- and fourth-best-selling songs outside the U.S., with 22,400 and 15,000, respectively. The week's best-seller is Ed Sheeran's "Bad Habits" (41,600), which crowns the Global Excl. U.S. chart. In third place also by Yonezu, as "Pale Blue" moved 21,100 downloads in its fifth week on the ranking. Elsewhere, a communal Brazilian song enters the Global Excl. U.S. chart, as "Poesia Acustica 11: Nada Mudou" debuts at No. 151. The song is credited to various artists, with contributions from familiar global chart faces such as MC Chris and Mc Poze Do Rodo and newer names including Cynthia Luz and Salve Malak. It's the second various artists hit on the chart so far, after "Stop Crying Your Heart Out," a cover of a 2002 Oasis song performed by the BBC Radio 2 Allstars, including Bryan Adams, Cher, Lenny Kravitz and Kylie Minogue.
Plus, Indian acts debut on each global survey. Badshah and Aastha Gill crack the Global 200 at No. 199 with "Paani Paani," as it rises to 138-87 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart in its third frame. Meanwhile, Pawan Singh and Anupama Yadav's "Pudina Ae Haseena" launches on the latter list at No. 175.

Since the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. rankings began in September 2020, Billboard has a reported on an increasingly long list of international artists, territories and languages that have achieved chart success.
On the July 10-dated Global 200, an English-language song by an American artist debuts, and yet, it is a first: Bo Burnham's "All Eyes on Me," at No. 178, is the first comedy title to hit Billboard's global charts. In the week ending July 1, the song drew 8 million streams and sold 2,500 downloads worldwide, according to MRC Data.
"Eyes" is from Burnham's latest special Inside, which premiered May 30 on Netflix, followed by its accompanying album, Inside (The Songs), June 10. After the project's initial release, three songs got special treatment, each receiving an official music video. First was "Welcome to the Internet" on June 4, followed by "White Woman's Instagram" a week later and then "Eyes" on June 16.
Since then, "Eyes" has grown, rising 72% in streams and 39% in sales in the latest tracking week. The song's streams split 81% from audio services and 19% video services this week, which may be surprising considering its original state was as part of a visual comedy special on Netflix. Still, that slant toward audio streaming is in line with most titles from Inside (Songs), a strong showing for Burnham's songwriting to stand on its own.
The album's first focus track, "Internet," remains the set's most-streamed track worldwide in the week ending July 1, at 8.7 million, but falls behind "Eyes" in sales, with 800 sold. However, with the latter title's robust gains and the former's steadier activity, it wouldn't be surprising for "Eyes" to overtake "Internet," especially with the July 2 release of its "song only" edit, removing a spoken-word section from the middle of the song.
The chart action for "Eyes" could also be, in part, a result of the song's production. "Internet" is pure satire, a commentary on the digital age and the technological rabbit hole down which we've gone, backed by music that could soundtrack a circus performance. "Eyes" is closer to a rap/sung hybrid by Drake or Post Malone, a meditation on one's own anxiety and relating to the world. With Burnham's voice pitched down, nearly anonymous, it strays from the rest of Inside (The Songs)'s intentional parody to something more sincere, and a track that could easily play on the radio or blend in on a mainstream streaming playlist.

We have some pretty impressive landmark accomplishments from several European countries this week! Let's get into the details. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jSdctFcLyQl6HJYoi9Jr2OHFGkn-TBnxWVFNxMlzrto/edit?usp=sharing- Our obvious big winner is the United Kingdom. On the main chart, because of the efforts of ol Ed Sheeran, the UK holds the dubious distinction of being the only country to chart THREE different songs at #2 without ever reaching the top. Sheeran's new song joins the ranks of Wham! and Dua Lipa for that. Luckily for him, he hits the big time on the Excl. US chart where "Bad Habits" becomes the first British #1 single! For such an important music market, it sure took long enough. This is the first new country to hit #1 on either chart since Canada did it on the Excl. US chart with "Peaches" so it's certainly a refreshing accomplishment, too. - Italy also show some awesome growth this week. Måneskin hits the top 5 on both charts, which makes Italy the highest peaking non-British European country EVER so far. I swear these dudes are gonna end up the biggest Eurovision act in decades. - One more bit of happy news out of Europe: Poland makes it onto the chart for the first time! Polish rapper Mata brings the land of consonants juuuust barely onto the Excl. US chart with his new song, and the song is rapped in Polish to boot! This gives Poland a bit of a bitter record, too: it is now the lowest peaking country ever to be represented, at just #198. - Argentina also gets some celebration this week, as María Becerra brings the country up to the top 20 on the main chart for the first time ever with her J Balvin collab. - Lastly, there's a small new peak for the Solomon Islands as "Iko Iko" continues to rise. Same with the small territories represented on "Rasputin" (on the Excl. US chart only). - News specific to July 10th hoohah: By hopping on a Nio García remix, J Balvin becomes the highest charting Colombian this week. For I believe the first time ever, A7S (the singer on "Breaking Me" and "Your Love (9PM)") is not the highest charting Swede due to Galantis's "Heartbreak Anthem" rising up! That song also becomes the highest charter for France this week, with David Guetta conquering David Guetta on that front.

Definitely surprised to see Mata's song on the Billboard chart! The song really made a lot of noise here though, it became the first Polish track ever to enter the Global Spotify chart (peaked at #178; 722k streams). "Kiss cam" already fell in streams, so this will probably be its first and last week on the chart but the phenomenon is still huge nevertheless.
We have a few more artists that could achieve something like this in the near future. Quebonafide and Taco Hemingway are mainly rappers, and the genre is the most popular among streaming platforms. When it comes to female artists, I think sanah would be the only one that could do it - her Spotify numbers are unfortunately not as huge as Mata's for example, but she also has a dedicated fanbase on Youtube. She quickly took the country by storm, releasing her debut album in 2020, then sophomore one in May 2021, with both of them achieving enormous success domestically. Keeping my fingers crossed that her time on global charts will come too, cause the way this girl had like 10 proper (and great!) hits in a span of two years is mind-blowing.
