Second try at a duet. This one looks to be more promising. Not surprised "This Is Us" didn't do much as a newer artists bringing a pop female on a song was a risky move. Hope this does well for him!

Still think they should go for Drunk And I Miss You. However this is my favorite song from the EP so I am not too sad about it.

It's just an okay song to me, and I don't think this will grow on me. I like This Is Us far better, but this should do better on the chart. Let's see how long this song will spend on the chart if this becomes a hit...

Was really hoping for "Drunk & I Miss You" to hopefully get Mickey a hit, or even "Why Things Happen" because of Charley Pride being on it. Also how cool would it be to have a duet/collaboration between 2-3 black artists become a hit?! But that is precisely why they probably went with the Brad Paisley duet instead...

I liked this more than most of his singles until it got to the chorus which has no hook..

This is a mess. I don't care for Jimmie's voice in general, and don't think he sounds very good here. I like Brad's voice, but this song pushes him beyond his range. Plus I don't think the arrangement is a good fit for the lyrics. Makes for a pretty forgettable experience.

Yeah, both of those would've been better choices imo. This is okay and probably safer, but even then Brad Paisley isn't exactly a hot ticket to country radio in 2021 now so who knows if this works out either. It'll probably do better than "This Is Us," but I'm gonna predict right now that this one isn't much of a hit in the end either.

Do artists gain anything with these deals? Unlike the iHeart deal with the A-listers, it seems that all it does is push them up the chart one week just to fall back down where they were before.
Am I missing something here?

Am I missing something here? The iHeart deal actually pushes a song mostly for one day, but most radio stations are owned by iHeartradio and so the deal is huge. Conversely, radio.com/Entercom is not that huge and so even the songs are pushed for a week, they would not have that great effect on charts. The annoying thing though is both kind of 'distort' the charts a bit by artificial influence.

Most added song with 48 stations this week and 50 stations total and thanks to being last week's Radio Song of The Week this debuted at 43 on Billboard

Yeah you can definitely tell country radio is much more excited about this than they ever were with "This Is Us".

I like this song but the one with LANCO from the new gold edition of Bettie James is a hit waiting to happen I think.

The music video made a little bit more sense by the end when everything fades away and he just walks back to the car at nighttime, but still, those special effects throughout were so corny and low budget-looking. 😬

This marks Brad's first appearence on the Billboard Hot 100 in almost 5 years. The last song he had charted on it was "Today" in March 2017.

Since this will likely be Top 10 tomorrow on the final update, how many Top 10's will this bring Brad's total to?

This one seems to keeps chugging along. Pretty good callout scores as well. I could see this going all the way to the penthouse; it has good timing because it's not going to be nearing the top until the log jam in the top 5 are all descending.
Don't want to get ahead of myself, but if this makes it to #1 it will give Brad #1s across 4 decades, which I would love to see, considering this is most likely one of his last opportunities to get a #1 (unless he is featured on another collab.) I really wish he would have been one of the older acts that radio still gave some attention to like Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney, because he usually always has solid material that he puts out.

I really dig Jimmie and have been following him for a while but am I the only one who feels like with his radio success, Grammy nom, consistent high profile televised performances etc., that he’d be making more of a bigger impact with the general public (eg. sales etc.)?

This song is fantastic. I love Jimmie Allen and would have LOVED to see "Drunk & I Miss You" slay the charts, but this is a great tune with an EXCELLENT melody so I'm def rooting for it.

Jimmie said his next single will be "Down Home." He wrote it after his dad passed.
