No, I genuinely love that song. I'm surprised more people ranked it top 10 with me, bc I know it's not a well-remembered or loved song in Janet's discography.

I knew this last pre-top 10 set would be bad for me, but that doesn't make it any easier to take. Whole round was ugly for no reason :'(

"Candy" was Cameo's follow-up to their #1 soul and Top 10 pop hit "Word Up". It became their second straight soul charttopper (third overall) and second straight Top 40 hit on the Hot 100. Mariah Carey notably sampled this in her 2001 song "Loverboy".

The first release from their sophomore album Spanish Fly, "Head To Toe" was Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam's first song to top both the Hot 100 and soul charts. It presented a more polished sound for the group and, like "Lost In Emotion", was clearly inspired by 1960s Motown.

8. Bad - Michael Jackson

The second of 5 #1s from his album of the same name, "Bad" was also a worldwide hit, topping the charts in 6 other countries and reaching the Top 10 in many more. It was originally intended to be a duet with Prince, but Prince declined.

The music video, which is 18 minutes in full and was inspired by West Side Story, was directed by Martin Scorsese and features Wesley Snipes. One of the choreographers was former Shalamar member Jeffrey Daniel, who also appears in the video.
