Oh that’s too bad. This is definitely an album where I feel like many album tracks are stronger than some of the singles, so it’s too bad that the singles make up the top 5.

Oh that’s too bad. This is definitely an album where I feel like many album tracks are stronger than some of the singles, so it’s too bad that the singles make up the top 5. I think quite a few of us were pulling for at least one of the album tracks to make it in the top five. Of those, "Once You've Love Somebody" definitely was the one I thought stood the best chance. Had it been able to do so though it would've come at the expense of our first song to exit the top five, and considering that it's my top-ranked song (along with two others) I wouldn't have wanted to see that happen lol. Let's find out what that song is shall we!

Stats for #5:
The first song to exit within the top five also happens to be our most polarizing song. Three participants put this at the top of their list while two others put it dead last (you two are cancelled).

Nooo not "I Can Love You Better" being the first of the singles to leave! I've always adored this song!! It is SO catchy and their harmonies are out of this world good on it!! It's always reminded me of something SHeDAISY would do, which is another reason why I love it so much lmao. Glad it made top 5 but top 3 (or 1 obviously lol) would have been preferred!

Just after losing their top two ranked songs, taylor gets their revenge as they lose their bottom ranking song. In fact, this only garnered one other bottom two ranking with castleoblivion26 joining taylor down in the pit. Released in October 1997 as their debut single, the song went on to also become their first top ten hit where it peaked at #7. Fourteen participants ended up putting this somewhere within their top five with .indulgecountry, LBTrocks, and myself putting this at the top of our lists (TASTE!). This ended up coming in as our most polarizing song though with the other half of the group putting this within their top ten.

The fifth and final single released from the album, "Tonight the Heartache's on Me" bows out next and along with it both gardyfan and wrip lose their top-ranking song. The majority of the group placed this somewhere within their top five including Devil Marlena Nylund and d3vin44 who put this as their second favorite. This did receive a couple bottom two rankings with someguy finally losing their least favorite song.

Yeah, "Tonight The Heartache's On Me" should have hands down been the first single out. That said, I really love it too and it's so fun to sing and dance to!

Wow, I am really surprised. This should have beaten TTHOM easily. Same. But my surprise is pleasant! (I like this song but on its own, it didn’t win me over to the Chicks. There’s your trouble has that honour, with this song taking on a supporting role).

Should've been different, but it wasn't different was it Same old story and Dear John and so long It should have fit like a glove It should've fit like a ring, like a diamond ring A token of a true love Should've all worked out but it didn't She should be here now but she isn't 3. “There’s Your Trouble” Track: #4 Songwriters: Mark Selby, Tia Sillers Released: March 1998 Billboard Peak Country Chart Position: #1 Total: 114 Average: 3.93 Std Dev: 2.87 (5th Highest) {Songs Remaining}Wide Open Spaces You Were Mine

I can't be upset about anything at this point lol, I adore all these songs. "There's Your Trouble" is such a jam. This is an extremely catchy yet beautiful song! It's in the top 3 where it belongs, for sure.

Released as their second single in March 1998, "There's Your Trouble" went on to become the groups first number one hit. This settled into his highest placing position early on where it remained for the duration of its run. It picked up plenty of support along the way with 21 participants putting this somewhere within their top five, of which six put this as their top-ranking song! We have one lone dissenter with Kanenrá:ke being the only one to put this in their bottom two (actually dead last!).

the Top 3 is my Top 3, and "There's Your Trouble" was my #3. I personally love these 3 songs and grew to love the band a lot due to these 3 songs so this is the right Top 3. So HAPPY that "I Can Love You Better" missed, hate that song and I hated them when they first came out and is one of the few songs from those years that I still don't care for

I can't find a reason to let go Even though you've found a new love And she's what your dreams are made of I can find a reason to hang on What went wrong can be forgiven Without you, it ain't worth livin' alone 2. “You Were Mine” Track: #5 Songwriters: Emily Strayer, Martie Maguire Released: December 1998 Billboard Peak Country Chart Position: #1 Total: 109 Average: 3.76 Std Dev: 2.65 (3rd Lowest)
Who doesn't know what I'm talking about Who's never left home, who's never struck out To find a dream and a life of their own A place in the clouds, a foundation of stone
Many precede and many will follow A young girl's dreams no longer hollow It takes the shape of a place out west But what it holds for her, she hasn't yet guessed

Definitely the right winner, love "Wide Open Spaces" a lot. "You Were Mine" is a great one as well so I wouldn't have been upset had that one won. Thanks for hosting tim, looking forward to the next album!

Both of our songs to finish in the top two were #1 contenders, but the title track ended up pulling ahead midway through the rankdown where it remained perched for the rest of its run. "You Were Mine" was our first song to be a top contender as it received its first of five #1s from ClevelandRox . It amassed a whopping 19 more top five rankings including seven participants who put this as their second favorite. Both songs did wind up receiving one bottom two raking apiece which came in the way of a last place from wrip and jenglisbe . Much to my surprise, this is the first win for the title track "Wide Open Spaces" as it ended up placing at #5 in their singles rankdown (which was done many moons ago now!), while "You Were Mine" came in at #10.

I'm a little sad I missed this, but Wide Open Spaces is their album I'm least familiar with so it's not too sad.
That said, I'm already compiling my list for Fly (assuming this is going in chronological order).
But ranking Home and Gaslighter is going to be IMPOSSIBLE because those albums are perfect (really all of their albums are).
