pls do not make GIRL LIKE ME a hit, pls just flop like MAMACITA I know it's no lyrical or sonic masterpiece but can we let 44 year old Shakira have one more US hit? Please. It's very tiring having to use the same ol' Sia, Cher and Madonna examples when talking about females that smashed after 40. |

Gotta say I'm highly disappointed by the lack of Weeknd re-entries Wouldn't they have had to chart higher than #50 to be eligible? So it's not too shocking. Also not sure if they'd be eligible for the recurrent chart, since they left the Hot 100 so long ago and I'm assuming already spent awhile on the recurrent chart. |

All the Super Bowl effect went to BL and SYT. He should've made the whole set a bit more interesting I think? The Hills did go top ten on Spotify but that was too briefly.

Since it looks like I Hope is going to repeat, when was the last time a country song repeated? I can't believe nobody mentioned Dan + Shay's "Tequila", which made both the 2018 and 2019 Year-End lists despite never cracking the top 20. That's the last time a country song repeated. |

Does anyone want to remember Tequila though? lol It is Dan + Shay's best hit song, a pretty great track in its own right, and definitely more worth remembering than previous country repeats "Wanted", "If I Die Young", and even "I Hope" (especially with that awful remix taken into account). |

TBH, I should have known this. It's easily Dan + Shay's best hit, probably their best song in general, IMO. To be fair, though, the way in which it was able to repeat was really weird. It returned to the Hot 100 in February 2019 after being knocked off by Meek Mill's album bomb a couple months earlier thanks to an acoustic remix, and stuck around through awards season long enough to clinch another YE spot. |
