If anything I'm kinda hoping the Super Bowl finally gets people tired of "Blinding Lights" after this week's boost. Love it to pieces, but it's time for it to move to the good ol' recurrent chart. "Save Your Tears" is cool tho let it slay.

(in b4 somebody gets triggered by the mention of recurrency and brings out a complex argument against it including mentions of "Circles", "Uptown Funk", "Sunflower" and the Gunna remix of "Circles" too just in case).

I liked Blinding Lights as the finisher of the performance. Looks like the true fight for #1 is drivers license & Blinding Lights.

I expected way more after watching all the GOATs halftime shows again.
We had VMA medleys with more energy.

Agreed. The rest was solid, but Blinding Lights was the only number that lived up to its full potential imo.

After having watched the performance I think BL is gonna have the biggest boost. It was the best part and SYT was way too short.

(And please take the iTunes positions with a grain of salt. He could take the entire top 15 and still sell less than 60k combined - the real tell will be the streaming boost).

The performance was a bit underwhelming, HOWEVER that finale was incredible. He sounded the best during Blinding Lights and it's gonna go #1.

A quick search through Twitter proves that apparently this seems to be a recurring issue whenever CBS presents the Super Bowl (the last time they did was the infamous Maroon 5 halftime show 2 years ago). Maybe their audio engineers are more equipped to work in sports environments than in concerts.

Bruno did well! I thought Coldplay was fine even though they got upstaged by Bey and Bruno.

Btw I think we can rule out Cardi as a #1 contender. Streams aren't even close to Olivia and let's not talk about airplay... the single sales give her a chance but they would have to be BTS-like. I don't remember how much WAP sold on it's debut because tbh the minute that video dropped it was clear it was going #1 so I stopped paying attention to the numbers lol.

Everyone is complaining about this year’s superbowl performance for The Weeknd being too boring, and doing too little. And don’t get me started on Maroon 5 and JT’s performances

Yeah, that performance was underwhelming... I don't see where the extra $7 million he allegedly spent went to and he definitely did need some guest stars to bring some more energy to the whole performance because he clearly couldn't carry that on his own.

I loved the performance, I just think it seems a bit empty compared to past halftime shows. A ROSALÍA guest spot would’ve killed.

I'm a bit late because I was watching the game but overall it wasn't bad, it definitely could've been better with the vocals but other than it was a pretty good performance.
