"Dark Horse" severely overstayed. Even in a list relatively weak as this one it had no business making the top half (and over gems like "Not A Bad Thing", "Come With Me Now", and "Hey Brother" - to make matters worse). Sure, the production is good, but it's got to be one of the worst written #1 hits of the decade. Never have I seen such a clumsy and poorly thought-out metaphor. It doesn't help that Katy sounds unusually checked out either.
I'll have to pull a @gabingston here, though, because the one saving grace for me is this great parody directly addressing the issues I have with the song. Fun stuff.

Okay, so, as it turns out, the YE closeness stats weren't completely accurate. It's either that, or everyone suddenly had a BIG change occur to their YE closeness with this update. Everything should be fixed now.

since everyone seems to be weighing in on Latch, I might as well contribute my own opinion: I can see why Sam's vocals in the chorus could be kind of annoying, but I like them, and everything else about the song is unquestionably fantastic
