More Daft Punk songs entering the Spotify charts today, including Harder Better Faster Stronger, Instant Crush, Around the World, and Get Lucky. Of all their songs currently charting, their highest is One More Time, which has surged up to #41. Interesting to see that One More Time gets more love than Get Lucky in spotify and youtube. I would have thought the other way around, particularly in the States where GL was a big hit.

Astronaut in the Ocean is honestly what christian music should be like in my opinion. Like yeah, the lyrics are religious, but besides "I believe in G-O-D, not T-H-O-T-S" (or something along those lines) it is really easy to ignore, and the song is pretty fun. The dude reminds me a bit of Joyner Lucas and Logic in a way, but more commercial, and tik-tok friendly.

Yeah, Masked Wolf is technically proficient and one of the better rappers to get big off of Tik Tok, but the problem is just a lack of personality or uniqueness. His influences are pretty apparent and he reminds me of Joyner Lucas or Jack Harlow as skilled rappers who I will never go out of my way to listen to. I'll always put up with DaBaby's crap because at least he has a personality no matter how overdone or annoying.

The 6ix9ine MV is just unlisted. Itβs hidden because of legal issues arising from Meek Mill, who sent a cease & desist over the clip of him used in the video

I REALLY hope this is good. I have low expectations, so weβll see. I liked βNobodyβs Loveβ even tho Adam sounded TIRED on it. M5 hasnβt served bops since βMapsβ prove me wrong plz I honestly don't get why people keep saying girls like you wasn't good. It may have been extremely overplayed but that was a decent song. The cardi verse made it even better as well

^ it always came off bland to me. just a bit...faceless. itβs not bad, no, but is it a bop? Absolutely not. It does not fit the bop criteria. It does not slap, it does not bang, it doesnβt even pop or go off. The most it does is shimmy or groove, and thatβs generous

Wonder who will be the #1 song of grammy week. Will any artists get a boost from the grammys to propel themselves to #1? If olivia performs i can see her staying there for another 2 weeks, although i doubt she will be. So far doesn't seem like any big drops coming, although there are rumors of an adele drop (although "insider" rumors for her have always been wrong). Also rumors that cardi is doing wap/up performance which could very well propel up to #1. Maybe BTS if they were to win the grammys and skyrocket sales? Highly unlikely but can't cross them out these days it seems

Iβd say BTS, Meg & Doja are safe bets for performers on GRAMMY night. Wouldnβt be surprised to see Taylor, Cardi & Jacob Collier perform too. Rodrigo is unlikely, as she isnβt nominated and doesnβt have a long & storied career. Weβll see.

Are the Grammys even going to do much now in terms of boosting songs now? Thereβs so much to even consider this year, firstly I mean the Superbowl is a lot more bigger with any televised event boosting songs, but even then it didnβt do much. This year for example, i think it applied to only SYT jumping from #9 to #4 as BL didnβt go to #1, and none of The Weekndβs other hit songs re entered. Speaking of him, his call out to the Grammys really made quite a few people of the GP stand by him, and as heβs the biggest artist of the decade so far (obviously), this could really hurt their reputation this year. Finally, this all ties in to us still being in the pandemic, which caused the show to be delayed and even then there wouldnβt be a normal average in viewership anyways.
Think of the other award shows that happened in the last 12 months (VMAβs, AMAβs, etc). They didnβt really have any impact on the charts or even the media at all, so what makes you think the grammys will be different especially with everything thatβs going on. Donβt get me wrong, maybe we could see a boost with songs already charting depending on the performer, because the charts are still weak, but donβt expect it to be as much as you would think it would be.

^The biggest boost I remember was from 2012 Grammys, which allowed Adele to have three songs in the top 10 including it in its tracking week. Set the Fire to the Rain would have returned to #1 had Part of Me not debuted there and both Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You re-entered the top 10.

I wonder if the Grammys will ask Morgan Wallen to perform at the ceremony.

Bigger audience, one that probably isn't as music savvy as the one for the Grammys so they probably didn't know the song as much as music fans. And Gaga did that weird ass rocky solo version for the Grammys. The Oscar duet with Bradley was way better.

EDIT: I am, in fact, wrong about this vvvvvv Correct me if Iβm wrong, but βShallowβ won an Oscar the year before its Grammys eligibility, right? Had that not been the case it could have been boosted to #1 by the Grammys instead of the Oscars EDIT: This is false ^^^^

Had that not been the case it could have been boosted to #1 by the Grammys instead of the Oscars Actually "Shallow" won a Grammy in 2019, a month before it won an Oscar. At the time the Grammy eligibility period went to the end of September, "Shallow" was released in September 2018. It has now been pushed back until the end of August. "Shallow" was boosted to #1 because of the Oscars however it got a small boost from the Grammy's (where Gaga won and performed the track), it went from #24 to #18 during the impact week of the ceremony, it would've likely been higher if it hadn't also been the same week as thank u, next's album bomb.
