Worth mentioning a weird paradox here - we finally have a sizable number of songs at least somewhat increasing in performance, yet the top 50 threshold is somehow getting even weaker (77 points).
(Yes, I’m aware part of it is because of Before You Go finally going recurrent this week)

The Grammys could have a boost if a performance earns one, likewise with any award show or any type of live performance really. Generally speaking, I don’t see this year’s show generating a whole lot of buzz - particularly if the performances are pre-recorded.

Radio really did screw Good Days & streets while they're f**kin over-playing s**tt Momney (s-0.8,st-4m,air-72m).
Willow seems stabilising ~25-30
Loney will be outta top40 since its bleeding airplay
Dua & Ava's mediocre tracks are solely rising due to massive airplay boost
Without you might not go further since it's previously huge streaming is swindling (his label f**ked up trying to promote all his singles at the same time, he & his team are no Bieber or Scooter 😅)
Good to see RnB surge
Dynamite +10 someone drop an album bomb 🙏

I do like how Blinding Lights has been in the Top 10 for so long that its just a footnote in their articles now, it's mentioned but it's not a huge event anymore. We've just adapted to it being there.

So Post just covered Hootie and the Blowish Posty's voice is tailored for Rock. Since rappers are releasing full-blown Rock albums hope he does too. Also this song's gonna be my bg while roaming Kanto 😀

Correct me if I’m wrong, but “Shallow” won an Oscar the year before its Grammys eligibility, right? Had that not been the case it could have been boosted to #1 by the Grammys instead of the Oscars Actually "Shallow" won a Grammy in 2019, a month before it won an Oscar. At the time the Grammy eligibility period went to the end of September, "Shallow" was released in September 2018. It has now been pushed back until the end of August. "Shallow" was boosted to #1 because of the Oscars however it got a small boost from the Grammy's (where Gaga won and performed the track), it went from #24 to #18 during the impact week of the ceremony, it would've likely been higher if it hadn't also been the same week as thank u, next's album bomb. Thanks for the correction! Idk why I insist on remembering this wrong but I think it’s the second time I’ve made that error on this forum

I wonder if the Grammys will ask Morgan Wallen to perform at the ceremony. don't think he has any nomination . wonder how other award shows who base their categories on sales and streaming like Billboard and the AMA's will handle him since his album will be among the biggest this year.

I wonder if the Grammys will ask Morgan Wallen to perform at the ceremony. YES, that's the only thing they need, to be 100% irrelevant. and I'm here for it

Also this song's gonna be my bg while roaming Kanto 😀 He definitely proved that in the YouTube Nirvana tribute WHO benefit concert. It would be cool if it could manage to chart at the same time as Beers and Sunshine is charting. Also, it is a good way to promote his upcoming Pokemon livestream.
Another thing that's upcoming that should influence next week's Hot 100 is Billie Eilish's documentary on Apple TV +.

So Post just covered Hootie and the Blowish Post Malone releasing new stuff because of his upcoming Pokémon Concert livestream. Post Malone and Pokémon are two of my favourites that I never knew would pair up together until now.

^The biggest boost I remember was from 2012 Grammys, which allowed Adele to have three songs in the top 10 including it in its tracking week. Set the Fire to the Rain would have returned to #1 had Part of Me not debuted there and both Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You re-entered the top 10. Yeah and that took a 'comeback' performance as well as Adele sweeping the big awards. A performance by itself and/or 1 win won't propel something in a huge way.

Radio really did screw Good Days & streets while they're f**kin over-playing s**tt Momney (s-0.8,st-4m,air-72m). Willow seems stabilising ~25-30 "positions" has the highest % of its points coming from airplay of any song in the top 25. "PYRO" is the only song in the top 50 with a % higher. And then yeah, to see "GD" and "Streets" with a radio % under 10% is sad.

I'm so glad revisionist history has allowed us to acknowledge that Maroon 5 was still delivering fun tracks in 2011-2015, and it was with "Don't Wanna Know" that they truly stopped caring (though I am more lenient on "Memories" than most - it seems sincere).

In 2030 when they’re enjoying their 17th number one on pop on a collab with Blue Ivy, we’ll be saying the same except that they were delivering fun tracks up to 2021 😂

Anyone know why this Post Malone song did't get any promotion? I probably would've never found out about it if it weren't for this website.
