Marlboro Man isn't bad otherwise, but its production quality sucks, and I am surprised bboat11 who is more focused on vocals would put this at top. The vocals are absolutely butchered.

10. This showcases another drawback of the album which is barebone melodies. They are still good enough to listen for some times, but not more than that. 8. Pretty badass track that I think she should re-record this at some point.

Wish it could have been in the top 5 at the very least and I would LOVE to hear a re-recording of it

Meh. "Break It Fast" is the better song. "Journey" is kinda where I stopped caring for tracks off this album: the top 5 were quite good, but the other half of my list was not something really worth revisiting. Like I said about her other indie album tracks we ranked, she has VASTLY improved over time as an artist. Part of it is I'm sure having a major label with a production budget, but her vocals are also clearly a lot better with time/age. Listening to some of the songs from this record and comparing them to something like "Sparrow" ... it's almost like listening to a totally different artist, lol.

Lmao what an up and down rankdown this was, for just about everybody. I'm relistening to "Journey" right now and it is an acceptable winner! I remember this being one that I wanted to rank higher, but it just kinda ended up slipping lower on my list due to the strength of other songs. That being said, "Break It Fast" is definitely the better song, so I wish it could have come out ahead. Edit: Wait I just saw that they are tied. Guess they both get to be in BotB, and that means that .indulgecountry's #1 "Little Tragedy" will get to be in RotB!

Although given the strength of most of the songs that make those RDs, I wouldn't be surprised if it still doesn't fare that well on my list, lol. 😂

5. Really enjoy the alt rick vibe in this. This could also be re-recorded because right now the sound is thin in some places. 4. How come this has a #1 and bboat11 ranked this 3rd? The vocals in first verse are unlistenable, and the production sounds very cheap. 3. The melody sounds quite familiar, but she sings quite well in this one. 2/1. Both are fine songs as far as acoustic-driven songs go, but aren't as emotional as Little Tragedy... Thanks for castleoblivion26 for hosting this album series. She has a bright future.

You keep painting me to be some kind of huge vocal snob, lmao 😂 While I do tend to appreciate a well-done vocal, and have the music theory knowledge to describe at length beyond what anyone else cares about why I appreciate it, that is definitely not my only criteria for evaluating music. There is nothing more important to me than an engaging melody, lol.
