hoping #UP will be #1 next week It's more or less confirmed to be the next #1. Bruno fans haven't really done anything to boost Leave the Door Open, meanwhile Cardi B fans have been holding streaming parties and buying digital copies of the album to boost it's chances. They've also been watching the Grammy performance/music videos to give a boost in streams. They know this is the only week it has to go #1 and they're doing all they can to get it to #1. I'll bet it goes #1 next week while Leave the Door Open does #1 the week after. That is true but at the end of the day bruno wasnt nearly as big of a threat as DL |

About time she pushes a power ballad as a single! she shot a music video back in January when the song became Viral on tik tok..I don't think that it will be a big hit now but it will be good to close the era with this song |

Looks like Bieber will be releasing Peaches (ft. GIVEON and Daniel Caesar) as the next single from Justice, with the music video coming at midnight to correspond with the album's release.
I get the feeling that given the artists featured, it will only be marketed to Urban/Rhythmic/R&B, but I could be wrong. We'll see.

Blinding Lights looks like it's gonna end the year in the top 10 which mean it could join an exclusive list of songs that have done that, Closer, Candle in the Wind 1997, How Do I Live and probably others that I'm too lazy to look up right now. As well as a Billboard chart topping the repeat on YE lists the others being Shape of You, Rolling in the Deep, Candle in the Wind 1997, Macarena, Gangsta's Paradise and possibly others that I don't know.

I've given positions multiple tries and I still think 80% of it sounds same-y and boring. "pov" is not part of that 80% tho.

Not great though imo That album was a big letdown and all her fans try to tell themselves otherwise. Safety net was prolly the best song and it wasn't even a single. Ppl were disappointed in positions and thought there was prolly better album tracks but its funny coz thats actually a top 3 on the album. Whoever let her put 34+35 on the album needs to be fired |

34+35 is still the worst single choice of all time, despite it somehow growing on me. safety net, motive and pov were all there to take off like magic but someone in her team (or herself) had to tell her that they liked 34+35 😤.

Haven't listened to POV in a while and I don't remember it striking me the first time, but I just re-listened to it and I have to say I agree with most everyone here about it! It's the type of song that would also work really well as a duet, but the solo version is good enough.

And 34+35 has had great streaming since it's release in late October, it's still in the Top 50 on Spotify while the remix is nowhere to be seen, so obviously the remix didn't help that much. Radio is far from the only thing carrying it right now, it's fine if you don't like the song but let's not pretend like 34+35 isn't doing fantastic, it was a great single choice. |

considering she almost went with "34+35" as the lead single, I'm happy with the results. I'm kind of surprised they're going with "pov" when "motive" is the current viral hit, but it makes sense that she filmed a video for it. hopefully she can score another Top 10 hit. |
