I wasn't big on original Gasoline. Taylor Swift adds nothing to the song, but it's decent enough. Unlike Running Outta Love which is too "experimental".

Of all the remaining #6 seed songs remaining to face Porter Robinson it has to be mine huh. And it feels like it's a better perceived country song in this tournament...whatever #rantover
Look At The Sky is solid but I feel the production is slightly derivative from first few singles. If you liked Cody Jinks then you probably will like Ward Davis because they write together a lot, although Ward Davis has more piano in his music. I dig the melodrama from his divorce and the guitar solo at the end is fire.

Tell Me feels quite generic even though it's only 93 seconds long. The production of Salt demands picking a lane, but it feels somewhat refreshing coming from Mickey Guyton I guess.

Bad Head has decent music but the vocals are not really my tea. That said the autotunes in Spinning are way too much.

Faith Healer is the best Julien Baker I have heard from this tournament so far, and it's the most tragic story she had told so far. DDID is not the worst "joke" entries in this tournament but it's close. (it got a remix from Rvshvd a few days ago though)

The lyrics of Thumbs escalated quickly. I hope it would be more interesting musically though. Musically evermore is more interesting but I usually don't enjoy the featured artist(s) in Taylor Swift's song but they don't mesh well, and I don't think Justin Vernon and Taylor Swift sound well together.

This was tough. Tell Me was great, loved the vibe but I just wanted more of it. Salt I enjoyed elements of. The main beat and the guitars were great, but the composition and the chorus just felt too generic for me. If Mickey breaks out of the confines of basic modern country structure then she could be great. Giving this to Tae.

Fucking gorgeous. I love Lucy Dacus but haven't heard this particular song before. The delivery and lyricism are impeccable. Evermore tries for a similar vibe but Swift's vocals bring it down(yet she snaps on a HAIM feature???) And Bon Iver just feels like an uninvited guest, his random cameo just feels so jarring.

This was the hardest matchup of the set, I liked both of these a lot. Upon second listens i gave it to Toroka, love the surreal vibe and the instrumental breakdown near the end. Blood Sugar was also a great vibe and I'm sure I'll be coming back to both of these.

- I like the bassline on "Running Outta Love" and Tori Kelly sounds pretty nice. It has a nice vibe, though the song doesn't exactly excite me all that much. I have a tendency to sleep on HAIM's music, which is clearly something I need to fix because they're super talented and "Gasoline" is a good song. Not my favorite from them, but a perfectly pleasant listen.

- Ugh I wish I could vote for both of these! I'm not easily by impressed by a lot of EDM these days, but the production on "Look At The Sky" is so good. It makes me feel like I'm in some kind of dream that I don't want to end. "Black Cats and Crows" is really cool as well. He's got some soul in his voice and I'm here for it. Stellar instrumentals and great guitar solo towards the end. I'm sure Porter Robinson is gonna go far in this tournament, so I'll throw my vote to Ward Davis. But really, I love both of these.

- "Tell Me" doesn't feel like much of a song. Like one and a half minutes? Unless this is some kind of interlude or something. I couldn't really take much out of this as a result. The instrumental choices are kind of interesting, but the vocals aren't great. "Salt" is also on the short side of things, but feels much more complete and I love Mickey Guyton's voice. The instrumentation gives off a cool vibe that I like to hear in the country music and she has this attitude that I really dig.

- "Thumbs" is hauntingly beautiful. I love how stripped back it is. Her voice speaks volumes on this really gorgeous song. I love the piano riff on "evermore" and I think Taylor and Bon Iver work really well together, so I'm happy they collaborated again. Tough call, but "Thumbs" was more moving in my opinion.
