Both very solid songs. Have to give it to Lovemonth because it is smoother, but hope there are no English lyrics. The transition of Waiting On A War is not the smoothest.

Idk why but (Wasted) On the Moon actually gives some alt-country vibes if the guitar is more emphasized, although that chorus is on overdone side. Let Down is also pretty okay. Less memorable than (Wasted) On the Moon though.

I probably don't love the new Arab Strap album as much as many did, but The Turning Of Our Bones has the better blend of instruments than most of other songs of the album. Also check out Fable of the Urban Fox if you like this. Ocean Cabin is a nice listen too. Of course it's the album closer, but The Turning Of Our Bones is more compact and stands out more out of album context.

I really want to vote for all of #3 seed songs but Is It True? is so lame, especially from this group. The groove feels underdeveloped. I can see what Odd Eye is going for. It's slightly more interesting than Is It True?

I like the synths of It's Cover. Star is solid but again not very special.

The battle between two Sams(?). Not much of a fan of vocals in Dance Alone, but it is decent otherwise. Cyberpet is early 10s vibe, but it's a bit too early to invoke nostalgia towards that era.

This is very tough because I've been in love with Arab Strap's most recent album, Aidan Moffat's deep, low voice with the thick Scottish accent, plus the bitter lyrics make for a good stew of anger. But Ocean Cabin was good too; I like the dreamy atmosphere and the slow build of the song and the more vulnerable lyrics. I think I'll go with Turning of Our Bones, just because I have been loving their work but I might have my eye on NIGHT TRAVELLER in the future.

- All of the YUKIKA songs I've heard so far have been pretty solid, and this one is no different. I never got around to the Foo Fighters album after the underwhelming lead single. "Waiting On A War" is solid though. I really like how it speeds up towards the end. I enjoy both songs, and Foo Fighters are getting obliterated, so I'll throw them a vote.

- Ugh another strong pair, this one being even harder than the previous one! "Ocean Cabin" is very dreamy and very pleasant. I like the build-up throughout the song as we approach the end. "The Turning Of Our Bones" is also really cool. The instrumental and the vocal delivery are both so good and complement each other quite nicely. I wish these two didn't have to get paired with one another.

Tame Impala - “Is It True?” (Tom, #3) vs. Dreamcatcher - “Odd Eye” (Tanooki, #4)
- "Odd Eye" is ok, but felt just a little too over the top for me personally. "Is It True" is by no means the best song on The Slow Rush, nor was it the best single choice. But it still has a nice groove to it and I can't help but sing along to the chorus when I hear it.

- "Star" is pretty catchy, but I don't find it to be all that memorable. "It's Over" is quite nice. I like the instrumental here a lot.
