Rod Wave's album is amazing, really hope he can chart as many songs as possible, seems that Richer is the one to debut high and Street Runner will climb into top 20.

I really don't think FKA twigs cares about Lil Nas having similar music videos to hersΒ Yeah I donβt think she cares too but itβs just a bit frustrating, especially for the director

I think its a new peak in streams for Levitating. This is so sad to happen now For what it's worth, it's her teams fault. Future Nostalgia era had a pretty terrible single rollout, which makes the longevity even more surprising. "Break My Heart" had no business being a single, let alone pushed for so long. "Levitating" shoulda been a Summer 2020 smash. "Cool" should've been pushed in the Winter, and it would've also been doing better than "We're Good". "If It Ain't Me" feels like the hit from the re-release to me.

I think they've done a great job with the rollout tbh. They probably planned on "Levitating" peaking around the time of the Grammys, but since that was delayed, that probably messed up some of their plans.
I do agree about "We're Good" being the wrong choice for the re-release single. I think they could've pushed "Love Again" after "Levitating" finished up and then went with either "If It Ain't Me" or "That Kind of Woman" for the summer.

I don't know why people say Break My Heart shouldn't have been a single? It was another big hit for her and reached #1 on pop radio.

Lmao yeah it makes no sense, it's like the person who said 34+35 was a poor single choice. These songs were huge hits (BMH reached #13 on the Hot 100 and #1 on pop radio like you mentioned).

I don't know why people say Break My Heart shouldn't have been a single? It was another big hit for her and reached #1 on pop radio. It struggled to go 1x Platinum following her biggest hit in America. It was even below Don't Start Now on streaming for most of its run. It was arguably even more of a fluke than "IDGAF" (which is 2x Platinum despite peaking #49) after "New Rules" despite the giant radio support. It didn't flop but I think another choice could've easily did better.

Oh so we're strictly talking from a commercial standpoint, because BMH is top 3 on the album

I think making the CMBYN controversial is really working. People are really talking about it.

I think making the CMBYN controversial is really working. People are really talking about it. The conservative christian outrage wins yet again, after giving boosts WAP and UP and every other daring artist in the last 80 years (Madonna, Miley Cyrus), they have now given another "blasphemous" song a big boost. I do like people are really trying to defend Old Town Road being a kids song and now Nas X has given his life to satan or something, the same song with "bull riding and boobies" in it.

I think lil nas wanted to do something controversial to have his song get more attention, and ultimately sell better, and CLEARLY it's working. Kinda seems like hes tryna have his "wap" moment tbh. In a way, he's trying to make it seem like it's a lot more controversial than it is. Not sure why he's on twitter gloating about the song being on fox news when that never happened lmao

right wing/christian outrage a big boon it would appear.
the flip side being maga wallen's backlash making them stand in solidarity with him.
there's no such thing as bad publicity, if the backlash is from people who aren't the targeted audience anyway.

'If he releases the music video's audio as a new version, it could debut #1.'
This is oddly specific as if they're asking him to lmao.

Oh yeah, if Gaga and Beyonce re-filmed Telephone it could re-enter the charts!!!!!!!!
LNX is retweeting all the tweets that mention his song, he is clearly making the most of the hype.

Sliding down a stripper pole? Ok..... so innovative. Never been done before Please go check Andrew Thomas Haungβs Instagram. He was contacted by Nasβ label last year, then they hired the same choreographer from Cellophaneβs video. I donβt think itβs just an βinfluenceβ or an βhomageβ :/

I mean, aren't they both using biblical references? When you watch the full video, the concept of "Montero" is quite different. There's definitely FKA Twigs influence, but to say it's a ripoff is a stretch. She & her director didn't invent the concepts of "fallen angel" and "hell".

It was arguably even more of a fluke than "IDGAF" (which is 2x Platinum despite peaking #49) after "New Rules" despite the giant radio support. It didn't flop but I think another choice could've easily did better. It has over 600M streams on Spotify, the most solo streamed female song of 2020. It has over 350M views on Youtube. It went #1 on Pop radio. It spent over 30 weeks on the Hot 100, and was the 33rd biggest hit of the year. It's also her highest debuting single ever on the chart. It went top ten in the Uk and Australia and pretty much top 15 in most other markets. Just because it's 'only' certified Platinum doesn't mean it isn't eligible to be certified higher. Certifications aren't always a true look at a song success as they aren't always updated regularly. But yes, I'm sure her team are kicking themselves that they made it a single.

If it's that stable then why not just let it debut where it'll debut and let it perform how it'll perform in the long run? Smh.

Yep, all artists could hypothetically release another version of their charting hits

Yep, all artists could hypothetically release another version of their charting hits i guess they mentioned it because thereβs a longer version in the video people may want on streaming?? Itβs weird tho, as that hasnβt been announced. Get them interactions?? I donβt wanna dump on TOTC, though. their predictions are fairly accurate and beautifully put together. Concerning other chart accounts, this is small potatoes.

How much time before yβall think a new artist makes a viral hit that hits number one? The last time we saw it was 24k Goldn and Iann Dior. I wonder who will be next

That was just a weird tweet. At this point the song has a "strong chance" of debuting top 10. That doesn't even sound close to #1.
