Letβs not be so sure about Bieberβs new EP. I think a song like βFreedomβ would do well on radio. It can very well be sent to radio if the streaming numbers are good. Then they can drop a music video later on. It sounds like a summer smash to me.

JB didn't even market this project and is clearly just releasing it under the radar as a passion project. I don't think his label will be pushing any of the songs, especially with Peaches absolutely smashing right now. |

I could be wrong, but I think this EP was meant more for his fans and to commemorate the Easter holiday than to create even more hits from an already immensely-bloated era. |

I have to assume most people won't really care about the new Bieber EP besides his biggest fans, especially as he just released an album. As for the BTS news, regardless of what language the song is in or how well it does (along with the multiple expected remixes), I at least hope it means their fanbase will finally let go of Dynamite for good by the time it comes out. They may let go of Dynamite after this week unless there is another major record to break within reach. Now that their company owns Scooter Braun's Ithaca Holdings and all those subsidiaries will live under HYBE America things will change drastically for BTS in America. This means BTS should get better playlisting and radio support for their Korean language songs. This will help put them on a level playing field with other artists. Once that happens the fans won't feel the need to make up for those disadvantages to the extent they do now. I haven't seen the announcement for the new song yet but I did see a video from a tabloid type media vlogger from less than 24 hours ago that shows BTS at the site of what they claim is a set for a new music video. |

Didn't "Midnight Sky" actually get a record positive score in audience impressions? I don't think it ever got far enough to be considered for the callout estimates, though. Its whole run on radio was very weird, to be honest. The song was seemingly resonating well, and its streaming performance was very solid, but it suddenly got dropped. It seems to me that Miley has been blacklisted on airplay to some extent, an argument further supported by "Prisoner" 's utter underperformance there despite featuring radio darling Dua Lipa. Like Gaga, she is somehow seen as polarizing artist on the US pop radio. And just like Rain on Me, MS was a huge hit in the UK. But unlike Midnight Sky, Rain on Me was somewhat of a smash in the US. |

Lol at Biebs releasing another half-arsed project. 2 weeks after the album he has already put out another album divided in two EPs. Why he couldn't wait for next Easter to do a full gospel project instead?

You really seems to not understand anything about Hybe buying Ithaca. Scooter will not have anything to do with BTS. Bighit labels is a private company, independed from the rest. They are doing their own thing. While the rest of Hybe is public. Scooter has even less shares than BTS. And his place in the board is only symbolic. Absolutely no one wants him and his payola near them. It's not how they work. They literally said once, they could be on top sooner, they were ways offered to them but they rejected it. You literally have Jin calling out chart manipulation last year at award show. You don't seem to know much about them so I don't really think you are a fan. You are just here to say nonsense. Given how the weak the charts are, AITO could actually go to number one. It's massive in streaming and in sales and is gaining on radio. The universe is a cruel place. The G.O.D and T.H.O.T line in the song is cringy, otherwise, it is a decent song and would be a suprise if it gets the top spot. it's the worse kind of rap hit imo, the kind that thinks its smarter than it really is It's all flow and no bite, and a catchy hook doesn't detract from the fact that even at 2 minutes, it feels like 5 |

The whole reason HYBE acquired Ithaca was to get established connections in the US music industry. I watched it and I've read articles and analyzes about it. I understand what's going on. Many people will tell you the same. There are people in this fandom who bought shares in the company and they studied what this means now. It doesn't change anything for BTS. The end of story.

I mean a "record" is a record, but that's like if someone started bragging about snatching record weeks at #1 on the vinyl chart. That market has seen better days and most of the numbers it pulled while #1 wouldn't have been top 10 worthy just a few years ago.
But kudos on the fan engagement.
