It is indeed listed as "Dustin Lynch Featuring Lauren Alaina Or Mackenzie Porter" on the Hot 100. I don't think I've ever seen a song have artists listed as "or" before... I also don't watch the Hot 100 closely at all, but it seems unique.

I also don't watch the Hot 100 closely at all, but it seems unique. This has happened at least twice before. "Picture" was credited as Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow or Allison Moorer, and "Every Other Weekend" was credited as Reba McEntire and Kenny Chesney or Skip Ewing.

Easily his best single. I hope easily his best performing single too. And easily the biggest bop of all the currents on country radio rn

Launched into the Top 10 on Billboard last week and Mediabase follows this week as "Thinking Bout You" gained 4 spots to land at #7 gaining 499 spins this week.
I would not be shocked if this is the last #1 of the year and takes advantage of the holiday standstill as it looks likely to peak around that time.

Given the distance from this and Michael Ray, Jon Pardi, and Jordan/Luke I wouldn't be shocked if even after max spinning radio just holds on to this through the holiday season as I suspect this is gonna have a slow fall (not Jason and Carrie slow fall but a slow one regardless).

#30 (+10) on Hot 100 this week. Dustin Lynch's highest peaking single, with two weeks left till max radio.

Happy this is doing well. This is by far one of his best singles in the past 5 years.

Congrats to these two for a great song. I wish Dustin would release Pasadena next but I think he might be going with something completely new.

#1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart with ~1.7M lead over #2 song (Knowing You). Also forgot the Christmas songs influx, this song has probably peaked in Hot 100 unless it survived Christmas.

Sadly I don’t think female features on male hits always really translate that well to the female solo career that much (eg Cassadee Pope & Chris young, Lauren Alaina & Kane brown or Hardy) but I think the fact that she has 3 #1’s in Canada really bodes well for her

Dustin and MacKenzie were #1 on Billboard Country Airplay for the fourth week in a row (third week on Mediabase) and it's sure looking like "Thinking 'Bout You" will get a fifth week at #1 on Billboard next week.
No pushes from any label this week, so the top should stay the same, and we'll see about the week starting January 2nd. Capitol Nashville will max "Tequila Little Time" but Jon's pretty far back right now, not factoring in the massive increase in airplay in the seven-day bullet this weekend (Christmas). The next week will be Warner Nashville/WEA maxing "Whiskey and Rain," which will definitely reach #1 on both charts.

Don't get me wrong I am so happy for Mackenzie Porter and even though it is luck, it is amazing her first #1 is a 4 week #1 and this song has no burn rate whatsoever (not to mention her being the second Canadian to score a #1 this year and for both to be women is awesome).
But I hope UMG is really kicking themselves by pushing "Getting Over Him" for Lauren Alaina and letting this song go, as while GOH hasn't done horribly, but in comparing that songs success to this and it is no contest how big this has been.

So I have a question. For Billboard what artist has the most weeks at #1 for their first #1 as it is kind of crazy Mackenzie Porter's first #1 is going to be a 5 week #1 (even if the holiday slowdown helped).

Was this song really 'that' big or did it benefit due to it's peak's timing during the holidays? I feel as though songs like "If I Didn't Love You' or even 'Chasing After You' felt immensely larger on radio but the peaks would indicate otherwise. Regardless I'm thrilled to see Mackenzie go #1, she is seriously slept on and I think 'Seeing Other People' is a severely underrated piece of work.

I do think without holidays it was gonna be a 3 week Billboard #1 at best, but it has been pretty big overall as it has been Dustin's highest charting song on the Hot 100 at #30 and I consider any country song to make the Top 30 on the Hot 100 to be a pretty big hit all things considered.

I know this doesn't add to the discussion between this current song and past hit.
It was this time 10 years ago when we were getting introduced to this guy and that song was "Cowboys And Angels", released in January 2012 (Jan 16) to Country Radio. It would peak at #2 in late 2012 for Lynch.
Crazy how 10 years can fly by!

^ Wow, that performance felt rough. For some reason they did not mesh at all.

She did a great job on the studio version of this imo, but she's never struck me as someone with a particularly great or interesting voice from the other songs of her's I've listened to.

Interestingly, Billboard counts this as an airplay #1 on Lauren Alaina's chart history.
