I smell a SMASH! So excited for this! One of my favorite things he's ever done. And I love the new version just as much as the original, honestly. MacKenzie Porter had some big high heels to fill taking Lauren Alaina's place, but she delivered. Happy they were able to salvage this as a single since Lauren's inclusion obviously got in the way of it being released twice now (since it looked like the proper follow-up to "Ridin' Roads" a year ago as well).

I love this song. Dustin needed a nice change up in his music.

So will âMommaâs Houseâ end up hitting #1 or not is my question. I need to listen to this new version. If itâs better than the version with Lauren then this should definitely be a #1.

I LOVE Mackenzie Porter and I can take or leave Dustin, but I feel this is a SMASH. I hope it helps her solo stuff blossom state-side.

Officially sent to country radio today. Does this mean that "Momma's House" is finally done after 60 weeks on Billboard?

Officially sent to country radio today. Does this mean that "Momma's House" is finally done after 60 weeks on Billboard? According to what sabre14 posted in the "Momma's House" thread, yes, they're throwing the towel in on that one and pivoting to the new single.

I just pray this doesn't take forever to climb, methinks radio is phasing him out

What's this? A Dustin Lynch single that I actually enjoy? I haven't cared for any of his singles since his debut single "Cowboys And Angels". I've found his singles to be anything from bad/annoying to tolerable at best. I don't always change the station for songs like "Small Town Boy", "Good Girl", "Seein' Red", or "Where It's At", but they're not anything I'd go out of my way to listen to, either. It's crazy that Dustin has been releasing singles since 2012 and "Momma's House" took 60 weeks to reach its peak, making it his slowest-climbing single by far, a full 9 years into his radio career. I realize that chart runs are only getting longer and longer these days (unless your first name is Luke), but a 60-week climb for someone who's been releasing singles for nearly a decade is just crazy. Even though "Thinking 'Bout You" is the 4th single from Tullahoma, I predict it will climb faster than "Momma's House", though I could still see it needing anywhere from 35-45 weeks to reach its peak (which I'll predict will be #1). This is a great song, but it'll take me some time to get used to rooting for a Dustin Lynch single!

so I 100% prefer the version with Lauren as I feel Lauren is easily a better vocalist than Mackenzie but I am happy to see this song become a single because I do love this song and hope it becomes a big hit!

Got a local station playing this already! Heard it in the 9am hour. Yep...this has the potential to be among his biggest hits, if not the biggest. I think its at least possible this moves fast enough to peak by the end of the year even...

^ I heard this on the radio today already, too! I also think it'll rise a bit faster than his singles usually do.

Wow, that's an incredible start for this. Early prediction, but I think this'll wind up being his biggest hit since "Small Town Boy."

I think MacKenzie does an excellent job on this and I am SO HAPPY its going to get her a US hit and hopefully expose her music to a huge audience that helps her blow up here but...what a mistake for Lauren Alaina's team lol. I understand she has a duet out now too but...this one was/is GUARANTEED to smash...I mean...Lauren's team has me asking questions constantly.
Also, I LOVE this song.

Chart-wise if this version and the version with Lauren both did well in streaming and sales would they be combined together for the Hot Country Songs chart? Or would it be separate since they are different versions?

I will say, though, if LA was still on this song she would be all but solidified as "the girl on the guy's songs" more than she already is. At least her duet is her own. Now I will say I don't think there would have really been anything wrong with both duets being out at the same time. It might've made GOH peak in the 20s like the last two singles of hers that were out during other duets, but I don't think it would've hurt her in the long run.

I mean it it isn't guaranteed that GOH will hit even with the duet change for this (it's doing okay so far but I can easily see it getting lost in the 30s and 40s, like we are seeing with singles from Michael Ray, LoCash, Chris Janson, etc.). I do think the duet change does make it more likely "Getting Over Him" will hit since Lauren isn't competing with herself, but it's not like even with the duet change that "Getting Over Him" is lighting the chart on fire. Honestly for as much as I do like "Getting Over Him", I wouldn't have minded if UMG would have just opted to not release any single from Lauren's EP and just let Broken Bow go with the original version of "Thinking Bout You". Yes Lauren Alaina would have been labelled "the girl on the guy's songs" but it would have been a surefire hit for her.

Most added song to country radio for 2 weeks yet he chose to release âMommaâs Houseâ before this when we all knew this was a hit song waiting to happen. I like both versions of the song but I like the new version slightly better. This hopefully will be a #1 for him. The main reason I came to post here was he has a new collaboration out with Chris Lane called âTequila On A Boatâ. Havenât heard the song yet but Iâm sure heâll never have another song close to his fantastic debut âCowboys And Angelsâ.

Pasadena is written by Dustin Lynch, Jeff Hyde and Ryan Tyndell, and features uncredited background vocals from Sarah Buxton. It's probably my favorite Dustin Lynch song.

What the hell? The two new songs are EXCELLENT. Dustin did a basic 180 after his first album, and then another 180 to get back to âPasadenaâ and âNot Every Cowboy.â And itâs because of more than just the fiddle :)
