Too early to tell, but it's between "New Rules" and "Don't Start Now" for now.

New Rules or Donβt Start Now at the moment but Levitating might become iconic if it holds up well.

Levitating certainly has an argument now but hard to not pick Donβt Start Now.

I'd first voted for Don't Start Now, but upon seeing this poll pop up again, I switched it to Levitating.

Isn't it a little too early to consider levitating to be a signature song...I think it needs a little more time...

In the US Levitating, but WW Donβt Start Now imo. Also, I think DSN will age better in 10-15 years.

In 2004, people thought Ciara's Goodies was her signature song buts it's 12 Step. Same with Mary J Blige Family Affair vs Be Without You. What I'm trying to say is that we will have to see how the song holds up over time.

"Levitating" doesn't happen without "Don't Start Now" paving the way. That one for sure, even if "Levitating" is the bigger hit (stateside).

Example: One Sweet Day

So What vs Just Give Me A Reason Also, what I'm saying is it is too early too see her signature song we have to wait and see what holds up and doesn't

It's New Rules. I would love for it to be Don't Start Now... but EVERYBODY knows NR. I don't think you can say the same for DSN. Levitating, definitely not.

"Levitating," easily. it will be the first non-#1 song to top the year-end list in a long time, 20 years I think? it definitely feels like her first number-one single in that sense, and I expect it to go down as being remembered as such, even if it missed the top spot on the weekly survey.
I could see the argument for "Don't Start Now" being the global contender, but even then, "Levitating" has already nearly caught up to its streaming numbers on Spotify despite being released 5 months (album version) and 11 months (the most popular remix with who shall not be named) later, and being released as a single 11 months later as well. then again, one could say the US is the biggest music market and the numbers simply reflect that.
"New Rules" is (newly) out of this discussion in my opinion. it was her first smash, and a year ago I could argue would be in the running for her signature hit, but in the grand scheme of things it was not nearly as impactful as the two singles mentioned above.
"Break My Heart" and "One Kiss" are in no way her signature hits. not surprised no one's acknowledged them in the poll lmao.

It's Levitating. I can see the argument for DSN, but I'm still going with the song that sounds more timeless. I'll say this though: if Physical was as big a hit in North America as it was everywhere else, it would probably get my vote

Iβm torn between Levitating and Donβt Start Now. I voted for DSN in the original poll in April but I can see a case now being made for Levitating. I do agree with those saying Levitating is bigger in the US while DSN is bigger internationally. I think itβs too early to tell which one will hold up better in the long run and become her signature song. Both are destined to become party/club classics. I can see DSN being bigger in clubs while Levitating being bigger at weddings/proms. I wouldnβt mind revisiting this thread in a year from now because right now itβs 50/50 for me.

DSN kicked off this big era and sound in such a large way that I feel like it's more impactful in that regard than Levitating. Like by the time the album dropped she certified this big change to her stage presence, sound, and attitude primarily through DSN.
Levitating definitely is the bigger hit but DSN feels like her signature at least at the present moment for me. I also prefer DSN largely to Levitating but that's not really a criteria to base my judgement off of.

One Kiss, definitely true for the US - but I'd argue it's more known in the UK (maybe Europe) than DSN/Levitating. I also think your argument for Levitating relies too heavily on numbers - which does not a signature song make.

We'll have a better idea in a few years. The answer is a bit regional at the moment.
