Thugger/Drake will probably debut high but I think it'll fall off hard next week. The whole project was pretty mediocre, I wished Thugger would do stuff more in line with "Beautiful Thugger Girls", that mixtape was God tier.

this is how drake's singles and features are performing on the charts the last few years..big debuts and then big fall

Although No Guidance was an exception, and spent over 40 weeks on the charts.

What Drake songs have had big debuts then big falls, though? This place feels really similar to The Twilight Zone at times

1-4 by itself is not a bad fall, but the further drops to outside of the Top 10 by week 4 showed it was not really that stable. However, the first 4 weeks run of Lemon Pepper Freestyle's run is right there with Franchise and Trollz.

On another note, I think that SZA’s song on social media is going to debut really high when they launch it similar to Montero, Rapstar and Drivers License. Number one is not out of the question if they release a video with it. Her album CTRL has not left the Billboard 200 yet. Her album is going to be so big
WAN and LPF aren't proper singles, of course they're dropping like rocks
I think the only song anyone should/could have expected to have some stability is What's Next as it's the only song out of the 3 that got pushed on radio/got a music video. I know I expected it to spend more than 3 weeks in the top 10 and to not be dropping as hard as it is but even that's neither here nor there. Drake releases lots of music every year. Everything won't be a smash hit.

His early singles were the same way. I remember "Headlines" in 2011-2012 being his first one to surpass 24 weeks on the Hot 100 (while not even peaking in the top ten), despite "Best I Ever Had" peaking at #2 for several weeks. I guess his chart runs are just similar to many of Eminem's singles, with quick and high peaks but short chart life.

Yes, but that era was completely different. Digital singles were huge which were upfront and rap wasn't radio's darling(at least in this era Rap Superstar can peak better).

You mean „Shirt/Bloodstained“? Yeah, the hype is big, it’s not even out and there are multiple versions with 1M+ views on YouTube.
3 million for a Young Thug/Gunna song isn’t good?...
for a song with young thug/gunna AND drake yeah it's not good
Lol, the song is probably doing near nothing outside US. It's primarily a Young Thug/Gunna project, and they have no big fanbases outside of US. Why on Earth one would expect a big global opening for a song by them is weird. Drake didn't magically make Bryson Tiller/21 Savage/Lil Baby/etc do huge global numbers when he did a feature for them.
3 million means it probably did 2m+ in US. You were expecting 5 million+?
"Mr. Right Now" debuted with 3.5 million worldwide on Spotify and 21 Savage's album did higher numbers in general first week (171k versus a projected 125k for Gunna/Thug).
PHEEBS'S TOP SONGS OF 2024...so far 1. 360 - Charli XCX 2. Good Luck, Babe! - Chappell Roan 3. Espresso - Sabrina Carpenter 4. Agora Hills - Doja Cat 5.
