I didn't notice "My Head & My Heart" is already out of top 80 on kworb's Radio update. it's challenging the title for biggest one-week drop on pop radio right now. A little over a year ago, I posted a list of Mediabase CHR's biggest weekly and daily losses in the Yummy thread. Anyone and MH&MH are falling pretty hard so I figured I'd (semi-)update that list here. Most likely these two songs have hit their peak daily and unpublished weekly losses, while their biggest published losses will be this Sunday. What the hell happened with Break Free, One Last Time and Lean On? Early 10's pop can't get better than those.

“Rapstar” hasn’t clicked for me yet and I’m panicking because I don’t wanna be one of the whiners that doesn’t get it 😭 Same & it sounds like his other song 21 😬 But I actually get 21, at least to me it sounds significantly weaker than 21. I just think the production isn’t as catchy.

What the hell happened with Break Free, One Last Time and Lean On? Early 10's pop can't get better than those. I mean for the most part almost all of those songs that made the list are pretty random. Die Young is like the only one that was purposely removed in mass on radio, LWYMMD/Yummy were extremely panned despite being largely hyped comeback singles. The others are basically all kinda random. The list just shows some songs happened to get simultaneously dropped by more stations than average once they peaked.

What the hell happened with Break Free, One Last Time and Lean On? Early 10's pop can't get better than those. Almost all of Ariana's My Everything singles took big falls once radio was done with them. Bang Bang and Love Me Harder also had big drops for the time (-3417 and -3312 respectively, which in 2015 was enough for them to be two of the 15 biggest drops on the format). My theory is that Republic intentionally pulled the plug on Ariana's singles as soon as they peaked to make room for the next one. She was still very new then and not the type of artist who could pull off multiple songs going at the same, so I could see them wanting to 'kill' the current hit so that she didn't hinder her own success. Lean On took a really hard drop a week or two after it peaked at #1, but then it leveled out some and hung out in the top 10 for another month. That was probably just PDs freeing up spins for newer songs. The rest of the list isn't as random as it looks. Once you take Ariana and Major Lazer out of the list, every one of those songs had consistently mediocre to poor callout during their entire runs; most of them were pushed to arguably artificially high top 10 peaks despite this (though some of them did have decent digital sales to somewhat justify it) so it is no surprise that radio dropped them en masse as soon as their labels stopped propping them up.

^ That could explain why none of her singles until TU, N era charted for over 30 weeks.

Pretty surprised that Perfect Illusion is not on the list. Probably didn't even get enough spin to lose that much lol

If it falls out last week - who says it is done? The #1 debut of the week will come and go but this may bounce back

Pretty surprised that Perfect Illusion is not on the list. Probably didn't even get enough spin to lose that much lolYeah, I think Perfect Illusion peaked at #20 on Mediabase. I should have also noted in my above post that I don't think any of the songs on that list reached recurrent status while still inside the top 10 (in fact, over half of them were purged). There are probably plenty of songs that took big losses after radio moved on from them, but recurrency prevents us from seeing it most of the time.

This is a pretty solid Top 10, I must say, the strongest in a long time!

Whoever bet on Wants And Needs being a longer-lasting hit than What's Next may be right. It's catching a strong second wind on Spotify

What's Next has peaked on Rhythmic and is in the top 5 on Urban so pushing Wants and Needs next would be the logical step but I doubt it gets a video. A push on radio would help, though.

Where were these streams when levitating was at its radio peak For real, if it had streams like this while it had radio it could’ve peaked at 2.

It's catching a strong second wind on Spotify *raises hand* Wants and Needs not being pushed as an official single was a tremendously dumb mistake. Much better song and standout hit than What’s Next. I think the whole reason why What’s Next did drop so quickly is because the public is more divided between it and Wants and Needs, as these 2 feel like simultaneous lead singles for CLB. People were so quick to jump the gun on the former for dropping so quickly, but forget that the latter is doing way more better overall on both interest and streaming, it just doesn’t have the official single push or radio to gain more traction. If there is a push for Wants and Needs, then it will guarantee do a Laugh Now, Cry Later chart performance (in comparison to recent memory of Drake’s chart performance), or even better, and it will have a real longevity on the charts. What’s Next always felt like the Pop Style, Toosie Slide or I’m Upset of “pre singles leading to the album” to me, and it shouldn’t have been pushed as a single at all imo.

Yeah I was very surprised Wants and Needs wasn't pushed as a single. Better song + the Lil Baby feature. I can't stand the instrumental in What's Next

Would a new peak for Levitating be out of the question? Radio is going up a bit... but competition is fierce for that top 5 spot. So probably gonna stay stable-ish. it's going to be 1-point from re-peaking at No. 5 this week, per TOTC. (though she's tied with "Kiss Me More," so she might end up at No. 7 for the 5th week in a row.) to be honest, I'm okay with her being stable in the lower half of the top ten for longer instead of getting one week at #4.

She needs to re-release it and pull an AOTD.

Talk of the Charts tweeted that RAPSTAR is on pace for another week at number 1. Pretty surprising tbh
