Save Your Tears two versions combined on Spotify would have been #2 on the US weekly chart, just edging Kiss Me More.

Blinding Lights continues to minimize its losses on radio, compared to drivers license. This is why I still believe BL will win the race for the final spot in the Top 10 over dl and Beat Box.

Did you see the bad callout scores ? The song obviously didn't rise organically on radio Bad callouts aren't the only thing radio uses in determining if a song is successful or not. We have seen time and time again that songs with good sales/streaming can continue. Stations also have their own callouts which typically aren't released to the public, which focus more on listeners in the local area. If those listeners like the song, they'll keep playing it. genuinely curious - does this apply to other artists that we βdonβt likeβ? bc obviously nobody minds abel being #1 on pop radio despite the song receiving bad callouts, but i have flashbacks to last year when dynamite was torn apart for having low callout scores and decent radio (but still nowhere close to a #1 on pop) lol

Re: albums with multiple #1s I got curious and adding to the 6 albums mentioned earlier which spawned 3 or more #1s since 2010 there are 12 albums with 2 #1s, Cardi would add a 13th if her album contains both WAP and Up These albums are Doo Wops & Hooligans (2010-11) Sorry For Party Rocking (2011-12) Unorthodox Jukebox (2012-13) The Heist (2013) Prism (2013-14) Beauty Behind The Madness (2015) Γ· (2017) Invasion Privacy (2017-18) beerbongs & bentleys (2017-18) thank u, next (2018-19) Hollywood's Bleeding (2019) After Hours (2019-20) wouldnβt BE also be there with Dynamite and Life Goes On?

I remember not liking Dynamite for a little bit after it came out because of the intro but then starting to hear it again, I like it better now than I ever did, it's a fun song.

A friend just told me about Cry About It Later by Katy Perry and I see on Spotify it was released last week? I didn't hear much about it, nor do I see a thread, but I enjoyed it.
Nevermind, I see it's a remix from the last album.

My ex's best friend reclaimed its #1 spot I feel like this week's callouts are interesting. Is this Up's debut? What about Leave the Door Open? Doing bad or good? Apparently Beautiful Mistakes debuted with awful scores, even on Hot AC, bad sign for M5? They've been scoring hits since 2003 so I guess it was bound to happen. Radio should drop 34+35 faster imo.

genuinely curious - does this apply to other artists that we βdonβt likeβ? bc obviously nobody minds abel being #1 on pop radio despite the song receiving bad callouts, but i have flashbacks to last year when dynamite was torn apart for having low callout scores and decent radio (but still nowhere close to a #1 on pop) lol The Dynamite haters just don't like fun. I mean I personally became annoyed with the stans keeping it at #49 for like 10 weeks but I loved hearing it on the radio. It totally deserved it. And anyway bad callouts only seem to matter if one, they're really bad (not just lower half) and two, the song doesn't already have good streaming/sales support. And lol at someone using the term "organic" in regard to radio performance earlier in this thread. Nothing about radio is organic. yeah same. i wasnβt really into bts before and wasnβt the biggest fan of dynamite either, but idk it grew on me a lot and made me much more open to the group, so i also donβt get the selective treatment it gets on here lol agreed on the radio as well - as someone whoβs been into charts for... a very long time, iβve slowly come to realize that very little about radio is genuinely βorganicβ, the callouts donβt really matter if listeners arenβt supporting the song in others ways (streaming, buying, general buzz).

Bad callouts aren't the only thing radio uses in determining if a song is successful or not. We have seen time and time again that songs with good sales/streaming can continue. I don't remember doing that all, so you can save whatever this quote was for someone else. Dynamite sold well and iirc streamed decently during it's pop radio run, which along with lots of requests, helped keep it afloat for a little bit despite (according to what I've seen people say) bad callouts. The Weeknd's callouts aren't horrible, they're just middle of the pack. Radio is probably willing to let Weeknd have his few weeks at #1 because it's streaming well, selling decent, and he's a pop radio staple. Listeners like familiarity, so radio stations will play artists and songs people are familiar with.

Combining the music videos for the originals and remixes, Save Your Tears and On Me are #1 and #3 on the US weekly YouTube chart. Rapstar dropped to #2. When I See and Botella Tras Botella debut at #5 and #6.

I didn't expect "Botella Tras Botella" to expect that big of a debut. I'm proud that Christian Nodal will get his first Hot 100 tho after peaking at No. 5 on the Bubbling Under with "Adios Amor" in 2017.
