Ariana is the new new queen of #1s. I mean, are we really celebrating "Save Your Tears" as Ariana´s number one? It feels rather pathetic. She was used by The Weeknd to get to the number one, in a week nobody will remember neither the remix or Ariana´s part in it. I think Billboard should change the rules once again. This is definitely not Ariana Grande´s number one...

Cant we please let it die? You gotta ask radio that question, it's killed off every other song but has been very reluctant to do the same to BL.

16 weeks in top ten is great for DL (it started at #1, remember)

I mean you said it yourself, Weeknd used Ariana to go to number one Rregardless of whether it will be remembered or not, the fact remains: Save Your Tears was the highest selling single last week and went to number one because of Ariana. her credit is earned. What more is debatable though is the consistency with the 50%. At that point, which matters more: the math or the culture

Alright, number one is not that important if there is "no tears left to cry" getting to it or should you "save your tears" and pretend all "problems" are solved that way:) PS! "No Tears Left To Cry" is still the number one song by Ariana for me, even if it did not go number one on Billboard.

Putting out a bunch of songs before your album is out the same as getting number ones when your album is out No it's not. More so, songs already being available on an album before they are singles can impact how well they are able to do on the charts. There is a reason that historically third and fourth singles don't do as well as early singles if those early singles are hits. Look at "pov" now and think about how it might be doing if it hadn't already been available for months.

Ariana is the new new queen of #1s. And yet only 3 of her #1s are for solo songs from her albums.

Up Chart Run: 2-5-2-2-6-1-2-4-4-8-9-9 (12 Weeks)
She's 4 weeks away from having the most weeks in the Top 10 for a female rapper.

Blinding Lights needs to just rest in peace for now. I still like the song but I don't want it to return to the top ten.

Honest to god, Blinding Lights will probably return to the top 10 next week I would consider that possibility if we weren't getting Your Power, Without You, and On Me all competing for the top 10 next week. Those all seem to be one week wonders. Even if they chart above BL on 5/15, BL should be ahead on the 5/22 chart (and should have a good chance at charting in the Top 10). I refuse to believe that BL will not get a Top 10 week in May. That hasn’t happened since January 2020.

That hasn’t happened since January 2020. Fair enough, this happened to Circles last year when it re-entered the top 10 the week of 7/4/2020. I just wish people would stop trying to will it to happen like their life depends on it. Like, it's just a song on a chart. Your life won't be ruined if it doesn't chart in a certain place during a certain timeframe.

I always find it so weird when Billboard highlights things like “Save Your Tears” is the 4th #1 song to have the word “Save” in it or what ever. Literally, who gives a damn about random words being in song titles and how many times those words appeared at #1. The only time it matters is if there are identical song titles hitting #1 in the same year. Or if a song called “Boyfriend” hits #1 after a song called “Girlfriend” But other than that, I don’t get the fascination.

Ariana is the new new queen of #1s. And yet only 3 of her #1s are for solo songs from her albums. but, Ariana is the main reason why SWU, ROM and SYT hit #1. It's not like she's Lil Wayne on "I'm The One", or M.I.A. on "Franchise".

I think "main" reason is a stretch, particularly for "SYT" since it was already a top 5 hit. It was doing much better as a solo third fourth single than Ariana's own third single "pov."

"No Tears Left To Cry" is still the number one song by Ariana for me, even if it did not go number one on Billboard. No Tears Left To Cry praise is always welcome. The best song she's ever released (including every single album track)

Since SYT did hit #1, i’m actually ready for BL to die now and i’m one of the people on here who’s defended it from Pulse haters and impatient chart watchers. If it reaches 90 weeks then that’s all good, it will always have a legacy anyways since it has created such a lead as the biggest song of all time.
