Her last solo lead single debuted at #10 (cause of extra tidal streams) ..I don't see nicki going #1 next week If you're referring to Chun-Li, it debuted at #92 and then rose to #10 the following week off of suspicious, magical Tidal streams because I still remember that for that tracking week, no chart predictor had it reaching the top 10 or anywhere close to it. yeah that's what it was! I remember the most generous predictors saying 13 Max and some saying barely top 20. Then we were all shocked when Tidal, the app with even less users back then carried it that high.

Never understood why Chun-Li was accused of having suspicious streams so much, honestly.
Being predicted to debut #13~ and debuting #10 isn't some insane margin of error. It's not as if it was predicted to be #52 instead and went #10 or something.
On the opposite end of the spectrum too I very clearly remember "Barbie Dreams" was predicted to be top 10, and ended up debuting #18.

Pre album/mixtape rollout is so on point. Only 12 tracks, that's interesting. And one of them is The Climb Back, which already debuted on the Hot 100 last summer.

Pre album/mixtape rollout is so on point. I'm reducing my expectation from over 400M streams to just over 300M streams.

Is it normal for so many artists to release on the same day? I feel bad for people trying to predict the charts.

Given the recent news from the CDC mostly ending their mask mandate for vaccinated people, I think Mask Off by Future has a good chance of re-entering the week of 5/29. I’m seeing a whole lot of posts on social using Mask Off, maybe it could renter next week? Although it may be a FDT situation where it overloads on one day then immediately drops off

You may remember last November, BTS' BE dropped the same day as Megan Thee Stallion's album Good News, Shawn Mendes & Justin Bieber's single Monster, and three pre-album tracks from Morgan Wallen. The week all those debuted (12/5/2020) was absolutely insane, made all the more exasperating by Christmas music beginning its return to the top 50.

Not a chance he even goes top 5 again without stirring some controversy. BTS is very easily gonna take it with mass buying. Won't even be close

I just don't remember so many singles coming out the same week. Admittedly I don't pay that close attention. It just seems like a lot. In all honesty, I like Lil Nas but he really doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell against BTS's Butter. I don't think his debut week points are anywhere near what Dynamite was and Butter should be at least that high if not higher. I don't even know if Adele could stand a chance against them on a week one single release for an English song.

He didn't feel confident about #9-#14 at all, and he had Chun-Li just 10 points off from that area lol. He predicted "Mine" to be #9, yet it was actually #14 that week. Every single position from #9-#18 was incorrectly predicted from him that week. Clearly just seemed to be a difficult week rather than 1 song being suspicious.

Not 100% sure if barbs have what it takes to push nicki to #1, especially since she's not a big streaming force. If the song doesn't have website sales it's pretty obvious it's not going #1, but one thing is for sure... If it does and does goes #1, it'll prolly be the most fraudulent #1 ever, even moreso than BTS because at least they would have the itunes sales and more streams to back it up, whereas her single will prolly barely make top 10, or barely miss it without website sales. Billboard allowing mass buying manipulation to prove sales aren't dead is a joke. The song isn't even out yet, calm down.

^^Unless the sales from Amazon do come through. At least in iTunes, LTDO has been above Levitating all week at iTunes.

Kind of hope Levitating hits number 1.Speaking of Dua though, I have no idea why Electricity never became a hit. Just an all around great vibe, kind of surprised it never caught on.

Pre album/mixtape rollout is so on point. I'd buy the album based on the cover only.🔥

Kind of hope Levitating hits number 1.Speaking of Dua though, I have no idea why Electricity never became a hit. Just an all around great vibe, kind of surprised it never caught on. Probably because it's a piano-driven house song, which generally are never as huge in the US as they are in Europe. That was especially true in 2018, when trap-flavored pop was at its peak. Dua may have been able to get away with a house cut being a hit in the US with One Kiss, but I always felt like that was more because it was a Calvin Harris song continuing his momentum from the FWB era, so it wasn't likely to work a second time for her. Side note: I recently happened upon another house song from 2018 that charted in the US, "Side Effects" by The Chainsmokers ft. Emily Warren, and it's striking how much that song sounds like an outtake from Future Nostalgia despite being released 2 years earlier. It makes sense because Emily Warren has co-written some of Dua's biggest hits, including New Rules and Don't Start Now. I've seen no confirmation of it anywhere, but I wouldn't be surprised if The Chainsmokers wanted to get Dua to sing Side Effects, but she couldn't because she was already prepping to release Electricity.

Looking at Kworb, that would put it above Leave The Door Open. I haven’t checked all week though, so not sure if that would have been the case all week.

He's lucky that his song created enough controversy like that. I don't see him pulling controversy and pulling numbers like that again. U know what i mean when i say he got lucky with his situation. Same thing with wap. Controversy = lucky in a sense
