I kinda feel bad for Cole fans. Cole himself probably doesnβt care too much about things like this, but after βdeja vuβ, I donβt think we expected single #3 to open with such big numbers Edit - I just canβt believe Rodrigo has achieved virtual a-list status so quickly. Number 1 songs are hard enough to get for established artists (Dua), and she makes it look so easy. she doesnβt even necessarily need airplay, sheβll just smash to the top. Good lord Hope she can keep her momentum for a few album cycles. |

She could be the next Ariana in terms of chart performance with the way sheβs going, except debuting with way more traction to her name. Liv can definitely sing them high notes! I canβt believe weβre actually getting another A lister pop girl again this feels unreal, adding onto Ariana, Billie, and maybe Doja Cat but she is also a half rapper as well so idk.

How many weeks do you think bl would have charted without recurring rules 150 week? 200? It's too early to tell. How many weeks it spends on the recurrent chart will make that answer. But the fact that See You Again and Uptown Funk are still in the Top 100 of the YouTube daily views chart (above Blinding Lights and all the other top 2020 songs) makes me wonder how many weeks they would have spent on the Hot 100 if they were released in the climate BL was. |

good 4 u is best single from this album so I'm happy it's getting this attention. the ironic thing is that they didn't even consider it as an official single...they wanted 'enough for you' to be the next official single (it will be out tomorrow with the album release) ... 'Good 4 u' was just a promo song (no high TTH placement ,no radio adds) but it just blew up the charts and her label did the right thing to promote the song now... |

This tweet isn't as speculative as it may look on the surface. They appear to have insight into preorder numbers along with the more public information about the funding groups, and presuming a standard radio push rollout (~10-15m BDS) and a streaming performance akin to Dynamite (~30-35m, 1/3 in Tier 2), there's a very strong bedrock for the song that will be supplemented by independent buyers once the song is actually released. I don't have insight into the preorders, but just using the funding groups' figures (~$50,000 with a price of $0.69 per download)...  Drivers License's point total (~66,000) only needs a further 25,000 chart points to take, meaning a sales total of 200,000, which is very likely for the song to match or pass. |

Yeah I knew that it's more than one person. It should be they, you are right. I also know they have some insight but I also remember how they behave during Dynamie vs WAP "war". They also have half of army twitter (including me) blocked for even questioning them politely. They are the most accurate but also like always be right and have a lot of attention the most. |

Well I finished my four listens of The Off-Season. It is definitely a J. Cole album alright, probably the most I've enjoyed since 2014. And yet, I still feel like I'm not gonna return much outside of "m y . l i f e", mostly for Morray.

200k would be something else when regularly songs do like 20k... How many copies did Dynamite sell? In its first week, Dynamite sold roughly 300K. In its other two weeks at #1, it sold 150-200K. It sold 261k digital iirc and 30k physicals. It has sold more than 1.5 Million sales till now, it had a barrage of 100k plus sales weeks |
