It really deserves a chart revival after its unjust run back then (#26 peak, and despite the solid longevity, it got caught between years).

Okay so there's a lot of info to process here. I got curious about what you are saying about "Potential Breakup Song", I just knew that Aly & Aj released an explicit version last December 2020. Maybe Paramore can do that, and I bet Taylor Swift may do it too on "Better Than Revenge (Taylor's Version)".

I mentioned "Potential Breakup Song" because it was a recent case of a beloved hit going viral and later being re-recorded and altered (in this case, Aly & Aj being able to sing the original explicit lyrics). It had a brief revival for a moment, even cracking the top 200 on Spotify.

Paramore (especially Hayley) currently disowns "Misery Business" due to the 'once a whore, you're nothing more' verse, so if the song ends up gaining further viral momentum due to "good 4 u", I think it would be clever for them to rework the song and re-release it, since it's one of their classic songs, and it could be a nice way to build up hype to their upcoming era.

As for Taylor, I previously mentioned this on her artist thread, and I think given the goal of the re-recordings to devalue the originals, she should keep the song as it is, and then either add a revamped version as a bonus track, or just acknowledge her outdated mindset at the time once again. (and we all know she's grown from that since).

I don't think anyone has shared this yet. It will only impact the following week, but still worth mentioning anyway.

Hopefully Khaled saved the best video for last, and is planning to have this song as the big hit from the album. Depending on its quality, it could have a "POPSTAR"-esque momentum.

Yeah I'm not surprised. Ngl, Bodak Yellow does feel like it was tacked on to Invasion of Privacy. You can tell the budget on the production for Bodak is way cheaper than the rest of IOP (though I do still really like the song)

Nevertheless, for labelling and history purposes, Cardi's debut album has two number ones
