I only know her from American Idol She accumulated 6 number ones in 3 years (1989-1991). 4 from Forever your girl (Straight up, Forever your girl, Cold hearted and Opposites attract) and 2 from Spellbound (Rush rush and The promise of a new day). Her case is quite interesting, since she started strong but faded away quite quickly when the 90s music industry shifted to new sounds. |

Rush Rush is my fav Paula song. It’s so breezy and early 90s! I also enjoy the two singles from her 1995 (and final) album - both of which weren’t nearly as big as her earlier hits but they were essentially my introduction to her.

‘Twas funny how people were saying J Cole was a lock to get number one. Olivia is a force to be reckoned with. I wouldn’t be surprised if billboard changes rules because of butter. It could break 1000 imo.
