Never knew Paula Abdul had a #1 hit let alone four from the same album. Don't think I've ever heard a single song by her. I only know her from American Idol

Is Cardi the only female rapper with multiple solo number 1s? Yep. -------

Not a solo artist, but the female act Wilson Phillips had three #1s from their debut album if I'm not mistaken.

Never knew Paula Abdul had a #1 hit let alone four from the same album. Don't think I've ever heard a single song by her. I only know her from American Idol She accumulated 6 number ones in 3 years (1989-1991). 4 from Forever your girl (Straight up, Forever your girl, Cold hearted and Opposites attract) and 2 from Spellbound (Rush rush and The promise of a new day). Her case is quite interesting, since she started strong but faded away quite quickly when the 90s music industry shifted to new sounds.

Whitney & Tiffany are added to the list.

Rush Rush is my fav Paula song. It’s so breezy and early 90s! I also enjoy the two singles from her 1995 (and final) album - both of which weren’t nearly as big as her earlier hits but they were essentially my introduction to her.

If we count Nicki's Say So Remix, no. Trollz exists, sadly.

We can't forget about Macklemore & Ryan Lewis having multiple number 1s off their debut album.

That song was such an event in 1991 when it topped the Hot 100, cause it stayed at number one for 5 weeks... the first song to do it since Madonna's "Like a Virgin" in 1984/1985.

Paula Abdul had a helluva debut tbh And a slow-starter at that. The first 2 singles didn't fare well: Knocked Out (#41) and The Way that You Love Me (#88 - later re-released). It wasn't until the 3rd single, Straight Up, that the album took off. The label clearly had a lot of faith in Paula and that album to keep at it after the first two singles disappointed.

Doesn't 'Forever Your Girl' (the album) still hold the record for the longest climb to number one? That album was a late-blooming blockbuster.

‘Twas funny how people were saying J Cole was a lock to get number one. Olivia is a force to be reckoned with. I wouldn’t be surprised if billboard changes rules because of butter. It could break 1000 imo.
