The video must've gotten a lot of budget with how good it looks, and having some big names in the YouTube industry (e.g. Bretman Rock, ZHC to name a few) easily the best thing from the song, which is saying something because the song wasn't that bad either!

This has risen to #48 on US Spotify, and was added to Today’s Top Hits today. 43 million views on YouTube as well. I think she’s got a hit on her hands, and it seems like Warner is prepared to make that happen! Hope to see a radio adds date soon.

#32 on Spotify now! Sub Urban worked on this (he had TikTok & Alternative radio hits with “Cradles” & “Freak”) and so did Salem Ilese. The press has been largely positive, and so has public reception.
Poarch isn’t an amazing singer, but she’s good enough and the song is fun enough that it’s not an issue. She also has a clear amount of star-power (watch the MV for that). Other TikTok stars like Dixie D’Amelio just can’t sing, and combined with their subpar songs and dearth of charisma, they don’t go anywhere.

This song sounds like Mad at Disney with all the worst parts (cringe lyrics, affected vocals) stripped away. I don't know that I love it, but I wouldn't be mad if it turned into a hit.

I had no clue who she was at all so maybe I didn't have any preconceived notions about her?
No she doesn't have the best voice but I don't think that's the point of this type of song.
She sounds similar to a lot of the new pop girls. No better, no worse??
