Guys, question: Butter's Spotify counter is showing 36.7M for me right now. SO the counter only shows unfiltered numbers? Does it mean 2nd day's unfiltered is around 15-16M as well?

Actually, this isn't just my opinion. Lana is considered one of the biggest plants in the music industry. The market inauthentically bit refers to the fact she was marketed as this "indie artist" with a lofi video and a look that was unlike any pop singer at the time, and yet from the get go, she already had budget for expensive orchestration that she could only be afforded if she'd already had industry backing. And being a rich artist went against the image she was being marketed as. It was inauthentic, pretending to be independent when you actually have large industry backing is the classic definition of a plant. 

As I said, it's not a big deal if someone is a plant of not, what matters in the end is if the music is good.

She hasn't had a #1 album on the Billboard 200 yet.

The idea would be that she would simultaneously top the 6/5/21 Billboard 200 with SOUR and the 6/5/21 Hot 100 with good 4 u.

Don't forget Bruno's "Unorthodox Jukebox" ("Locked Out Of Heaven" and "When I Was Your Man"). "Doo Wops And Hooligans" also had two solo #1s, but it was during 2010-11, so not exactly 10 years ago.

So counting "21", that would make 4 vs. 6, which isn't all that bad. Cardi could get another solo #1 to accompany "Up" if she plays her cards right, and there's still hope for "pov" if Ariana finally gets good playlisting + the release of an eventful music video.

Edit: wait, would BTS count, since neither "Dynamite" nor "Life Goes On" had collaborations?

I'm surprised he performed just that one song. I thought he was going to do a second song (most likely BL). Although it is interesting to see that BL got a bigger boost from winning the awards than SYT from the performance. (BL now at #22 on the iTunes chart, SYT at #26.)

I can only speak for my personal experience which admittedly isn't necessarily meaningful, but I definitely see the word-of-mouth aspect with her. I've seen friends - mostly women - posting on social media about listening to her, which then gets others to listen ("Oh I'll have to check her out now!").

I believe the current record is held be Debbie Gibson. Born On 8-31-1970, She was 18 years, 6 months when she was at number one with "Electric Youth" and "Lost In Your Eyes" on March 11, 1989.

Olivia Rodrigo with set a new benchmark by about 3 months on 6-4-21 if "Sour" and "Good 4 U" are at number one.

Tiffany came close at 16 years 3 months when "Tiffany" dropped from number one on the album chart as "Could've Been" moved to the top on 2-6-88.
