So, how do you guys feel about "Wasted On You" getting a 17th week on the charts? Do you think it manages to stick around another week in the 90's? I said it over on the 5/29 thread, but it probably came back because Morganβs contract with Big Loud recently got reinstated, so his music got added back on playlists. I donβt know if itβll rack up the points it needs to make the 2021 YE (it needs about 83 points per week to do that, given where it came back to), but itβs definitely a worrying sign going forward if heβs going to pick the worst songs off of his last album to push as singles. That was my concern as well, so that's why I brought it up. |

Levitating may have a chance to sneak in to the #1 spot on 06/12 but I'm afraid if BTS loses the #1 this week the fans will be mass buying to get it the next week

It would be a funny coincidence if "Levitating" ends up as the Year-End number one with a #2 peak, since the last time it happened was exactly 20 years ago with "Hanging By A Moment".

And maybe they know that saying anything like "Good 4 U is ahead by (insert points here) will cause another round of mass buying |

If that's not good enough to beat an internationally funded group effort to manipulate the charts FOR ONE WEEK, then something's gotta change.
A group of people smaller than your average town mass buying a song shouldnt be enough for a number one πͺ

Even if Butter goes #1, good 4 u is obviously the most popular song in the country right now. Streaming is the number one way of consuming music in 2021 and a song like good 4 u not getting #1 with massive streams over a track like Butter which is being bought 50k times by a group of 400 people is not fair at all. |
