I hope Good 4 U can stay at #1. FRAUD should not be aloud to prevail!

not challenging you at all here , but can Olivia block if BTS sells over a 100K ? Idk, but I hope the chart predictors severely overestimate sales to ensure less buying and manipulation happens. Olivia deserves the song of the summer. She is a cultural force this year The fandom has learned. They don’t listen to the prediction sites anymore especially after the large fanbase accounts tweeted about ignoring them. Butter is going #1 for two weeks tops.

Her streams are on par with Gods Plan and Nice For What and they kept the 100k selling No Tears Left to Cry at number 3 back in 2018. thank you for the info . How much did Dynamite sell first week ?

I hope G4U manages to get #1 this week. It just doesn't feel right for BTS to take #1 when G4U has these absolutely insane streams. I also wish Deja Vu could get a #2 peak as it's also getting extraordinary streaming numbers (enough for #1 in many weeks), but it obviously won't be able to outdo's Butter's sales. Either way it looks like G4U will probably have several weeks at #1 lined up unless there's an unexpected massive release in the next few weeks.

My definitive ranking of the 2010s for Billboard 1. 2015 2. 2012 3. 2013 4. 2017 5. 2019 6. 2011 7. 2010 8. 2016 9. 2018 10. 2014 not 2016 that low….. 2016 sucked for the charts.

Any year that has three Daya songs on its YE is doing something wrong.
More to the point, though, I like a fair amount of songs from the 2016 YE. It's by no means as dire a year as 2018 was, but its lows were pretty low.

What i REALLY wanna know is how many songs do you think will olivia will have in the top 10 at the end of the week? The hot 100 is incredibly strong already, I'm very certain good 4 u, deja vu & driver's license will all be top 10. I wonder in traitor or brutal will also make it.

Any year that has three Daya songs on its YE is doing something wrong. I still think Don’t Let Me Down is great, and her recent EP has some good stuff on it, but yeah, Daya’s 2 solo hits from that year are just embarrassing. In fact, 2016/late 2015 was chock-full of artists who got off to embarrassingly bad starts but would go on to improve and make better music down the line. Halsey, Charlie Puth, and Post Malone all had awful first solo singles around that time, but then they went on to make great songs like You Should Be Sad, Attention, and Circles.

I wholeheartedly agree. In hindsight, I feel better about many of the artists from 2016 (though not the Chainsmokers, who were at their peak here), but I don't feel better about the bad songs. Still, there are plenty of good songs that I still feel fond of, and in retrospect there is plenty to enjoy here.

With all the massive streams Olivia is getting, she should be at #1 this week.

Why there is all the talk about Olivia's massive advantage in streams? BTS has 4x times the youtube views. A good chunk are global, but so too are Olivia's.
Radio difference will be negligible.

My guess is that when the tracking week is over we'll see a more detailed look at the breakdown of projected points.

Youtube's lower weighted streams (as well as FRAUD streams) don't matter much compared to Olivia's massive Spotify and Apple Music streams.

Lmao your talking about youtube views as if those aren't downweighted very heavily and not that much higher than olivias. Good 4 u will prolly have 4x the streams that butter has and that's a ridiculous amount of difference in actual audience consumption. Committing mass buying fraud is the only way they even stand a chance

While 2016 is bad and has its faults, it's still not as bad as 2018 or 2014 for that matter. 2014 in my opinion will always be the worst year for the 10s and by a large margin, it's like all the some trends from 2013 done terrible.

Edit. BTS will have over Olivoa 10 million AI on airplay.
Sales will be more than 4x.
And Spotify's Olivia's advantage is just over 3x (like 3.2) NOT 4x as some of you claim.

2010 is ranked way too low, and 2013 way too high. Harlem Shake automatically drops 2013 down the list. No way was that year better than 2010 or 2011. My list:
Best: 2015 2010 2012 2011 2019 2014 2013 2017 2018 Worst: 2016
The best year had to be either 2010, 2012, or 2015. I give 2015 the edge due to the relative strength of #1 hits, led by Uptown Funk. It's a tossup between 2016 and 2018 for the worst.

2010 is just mediocre and a lot of the hits aged so badly.
