Edit. BTS will have over Olivoa 10 million AI on airplay. Sales will be more than 4x. And Spotify's Olivia's advantage is just over 3x (like 3.2) NOT 4x as some of you claim. OVERALL audio streams will be 4x. And even doubling it is a massive difference. |

2014 is by far the worst imo. If you look at the Year-End top 20, I'd say there are only like 4 of songs I would consider to be good, and that includes Royals which really is a 2013 hit (Royals, Team, Counting Stars, Pompeii). 2016 had quite a few bangers, and I think it stands out more sonically compared to others year with the House and Dancehall trends (which I enjoy).
While I like the early 2010's from a nostalgic and personal standpoint, I do think a lot of the trends from that era will age a lot worse than the latter part of the 2010's. Similar to how the a lot of the pop in mid-late 80's was trying to sound cutting-edge and futuristic sonically, so much so where it just became sort of laughable in hindsight.

Especially considering it's holds have been Incredible if not increased, if it's around 4.6m on Monday, pretty solid chance it stays above 4m all week and more than a good chance Butter falls below 1m by then, hence my "around 4x" spotify. |

It's funny how when J Cole dropped KOD in 2018, it was followed up the next week by Post's album. Now we are seeing it again but with Olivia instead of Post.

I actually do like The Monster, although it does seem to be relatively forgotten in terms of Em's hits. Probably because it's kind of a retread of Love the Way You Lie, but it's honestly just as good, if not better. |

Predictors literally can't make predictions early because of the absurd d2c sales for Butter, of which there's always insane buying on the last day every single time where the orders/sales can shoot up like tens of thousands. Not to mention it's naive to think you can even know the sales in the first place.
Plus, TOTC gets attacked 24/7 by #that fanbase no matter what they do; not making a prediction = don't want them to see they're behind. Making one = making them complacent in some fashion. ALWAYS getting attacked with 2911782 quote tweets being annoying as f**k. Imagine how tired we are of them.

That was the year Ariana Grande slayed with all her My Everything singles, Katy Perry had her best song with Dark Horse, All of Me, the start of the 1989 era. Only really bad thing about 2014 was Iggy Azalea and maybe Meghan Trainor, but even she was fun. |
