I don't know...#4 at most streamed, significantly ahead in airplay compared to "good 4 u", and the infamous yet massive sales make "Butter" a valid #1 to me. Would Olivia be more representative of the biggest musical event of the past week? Yes, but we know the way Billboard is currently measured doesn't always reflect that.
Dismissing the current chart topper or pretending "good 4 u" is #1 this week won't get you anywhere. "Butter" earned a top 5 debut whether you like it or not, and it just happened to benefit enough from website sales to push it to the top. Billboard's rules are the only ones to blame here, not BTS or their fanbase.
Anyway, congratulations for BTS, and congratulations for Olivia getting a new peak for the amazing "deja vu" + another top 10 debut for "traitor". It's so nice to see two Asian artists being at the forefront of mainstream music. β€

I guess DL's collapsing radio wasn't quite enough for it to get back into the top 10. Either that or there was another radio adjustment. I will never forgive drivers license for allowing AITO to return to the Top 10, while blocking Blinding Lights from getting one final week in the Top 10. You're really using your obsession with Blinding Lights to hate license girl  |

That, to me, is more significant. (Plus, there's the fact that Good 4 U already spent time at #1. I'd have an entirely different attitude about this if it got blocked by my.life last week.) |

I'm just annoyed at the massive chart manipulation and how they took Levitating sales but they let the BoTS do what they want with the Hot 100.

Avenging for Psy being tragically blocked from #1 by "One More Night", just because YouTube wasn't counted back then. Either way, these past few years have made it easier to achieve #1 hits within a shorter time span out of hype alone. 2020 was a prime showcase of this. So I wouldn't be surprised if we see relative newcomers accumulating #1s and surpassing older acts (not the 10+ elite, though - at least I hope not). |

Positions aren't everything and don't tell the full story, as we all know. BTS's radio airplay is not "significantly ahead" of Olivia's, 18 million and 13 million AI is basically the same amount, lol. I have no idea where you got that from. If we used just streams and airplay, Olivia is far and away the winner this week. The only reason Butter is #1 is because their fanbase has raised money from fans of other COUNTRIES to buy copies of the song that will never be used and is solely used to manipulate the chart. BTS would not be #1 without mass buying and website sales. This can be seen by Rolling Stones chart, which uses only streams and sales, where Butter is placed at #2. |

Maybe if you had said western countries you would be closer to being right, but globally g4u is far behind Butter this week. |
