It'll be interesting to see if the rock-solid daily holds will continue for Queen Olivia.

Don't count out Eminem & Jack Harlow. I could see that challenging for the top ten especially since it's pretty good

Really no big releases this week so this is a breather week. Really interested to see how well Olivia does on her second week

For the record, BTS actually released a music video for the Hotter Version, so itβs nice to know that theyβre actually taking the remix thing a bit more seriously this time rather than just shelling out 10 for no reason other than to juice sales.

Never seen a more pathetic attempt to cash in Don't really think the cash grab argument applies with Juice WRLD's team, every song they've released, with the exception of Smile, were recorded in their entirety while he was still alive. The remix of Lucid Dreams with Lil Uzi was recorded in 2018, but blocked due to the Sting lawsuit.

It's hardly surprising that a label would want to profit off of what is already recorded and in the can, but at some point there are diminishing returns, especially when an artist is unable to revise what was put down and decide what does and what does not reflect where they are.

The remix of Lucid Dreams with Lil Uzi was recorded in 2018, but blocked due to the Sting lawsuit. If the Uzi remix was an old recording they couldn't release until now well fair, I guess. Still, there's just something rather gross about re-releasing an album by a dead person virtually unchanged. At least Taylor Swift's vocals changed and made the production cleaner for her Taylor Version. Lady Gaga is getting other artists to do re-imaginings of songs. As far as I can tell, there's nothing new besides 734 and the Lucid Dreams remix, both of which could've been released individually.

I'm pretty sure nw, they gonna fk up Juice's legacy da same way they did with X. These continuous half-ass posthumous releases are such dud (barring few) (also I hate these annoying animationsπ
) .
Btw Cordae deserved better than dat tyga x g eazy-ish garbage π

Imagine if they had released it in September/October 2018 when the song was hot on the heels of Girls Like You for weeks. I think it couldβve gone to #1 like it really should have.

Btw Cordae deserved better than the dat tyga x g eazy-ish garbage π The difference with Juice WRLD and xxxtentacion is that xxxtentacion's team were releasing literal demo tapes and Frankenstein mash-ups of previous songs. Every song Juice WRLD's team has released since he passed away were already recorded prior, the exception being Smile where they added a verse from The Weekend post-production. Bad Boy, for example even had a video that was shot with Young Thug in October 2019. Juice has hundreds of recorded songs so there's no need for them to release demo tapes, mash-up songs, or fake songs (like Sony did with MJ). So long as there is still demand for new songs, which there must be if his leaks are still selling for hundreds of dollars, then I don't see an issue. Now they definitely could've done a much better job with this anniversary edition of GBGR, I'll agree with that 100%.

As long as they have Juice's name and recognition on there, they know it'll attract some attention and they can sell and put out whatever song.

Honestly though, I feel like Juice's posthumous releases haven't been all too bad. His 2021 single releases have been pretty mediocre, but a good amount of the material on the Legends Never Die album was pretty good imo. "Righteous" is one of his best songs and I enjoyed some of the other songs like "Wishing Well", "Come & Go", "Conversations", "Life's A Mess", etc.

The Lucid Dreams remix was allegedly sold to someone for $12k last week. His label and estate see these things and of course they would rather make money on the songs than leakers. I still think the way they've gone about it is a lot less awful than the posthumous releases we've gotten from other artists.

Since you were mentioning Juice's posthumous releases, Lil Bibby is hinting at an album {Spoiler} and another annimated video that looks like shit
