Culture III is easily the best of the three Cultures but too bad it probably won’t have the same success as the other two.

I would say the two rap releases are cannibalising each other a bit, but not THAT much. It also shows that features and collabos alone don't matter much if the hype and connection just isn't there. These two albums have all big rap/hip hop stars as guests: Drake, Future, Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Rod Wave, DaBaby, Young Thug, Nicki Minaj, Lil Durk, Roddy Ricch, Justin Bieber, Juice Wrld, Pop Smoke etc etc.

But as far as album underperformances go, Maroon 5 is very high up there, only the singles are on Spotify charts globally.

No, if Pulse wants argue that One Too Many is still gaining, then by this logic, Savage Original was at its peak and still gaining when the Beyonce Remix came out. We will never really know if Savage would have gone to #1 without the remix, but it was sure headed into the Top 10, maybe Top 5.

It's looking like that is what'll happen and I'm here for it. Olivia's album is clearly the album being consumed the most in the US right now, even with the new releases. She may even pull more streams on the Billboard 200 this week than Migos/Polo G.

It is interesting to me how far Zac Brown Band has fallen. During their first few eras it felt like there was so much hype and that they would be one of the defining country acts of the 2010-2019 decade. They released a song yesterday and it feels like it isn’t pulling impressive streams by any means. It is a good song though.

^News singles for them appear dead on the water, still depending mostly on radio and digital song sales. That doesn't mean they don't have fans, as their Greatest Hits album was at #75 in the Billboard 200 last week with over 300 weeks. That, even though it didn't even manage to chart in Top Album Sales. Which means songs in that compilation must be getting streamed enough for that position.

To be fair, when Jordi was announced, I don’t think Adam was planning on competing with Polo G, Migos, and Olivia. As it stands, this would be Maroon 5’s first album not to enter the top 2 of the Billboard 200 since Songs About Jane.

Any act can

1. Release a single that is badly received/underwhelming even to fans hindering it from debuting #1
2. Release a single mid week and lose out on a #1 debut / #1 in general, or debut early due to airplay.
3. Have very rare record breaking competition
4. Suffer from a rule change or sales/streams not counting

All of these are very realistic scenarios and have literally happened with about every superstar musician at some point.

Hell, all Billboard has to do is severely change website sales counting and BTS would significantly be hurt with chances of debuting #1.

They were never debuting #1 prior to them exploiting website sales even though their fan base was as big in 2018/2019.
