I like the concept of her biz venture and I'm all for black women doing it all!! I just don't want her to stop dropping music. Ms. Fenty at least served us an entire discography before she switched completely to her entrepreneur career.

I will wait for some reviews before purchasing but I'm fully sold on the concept. I always liked how Kim Kardashian's SKIMS looked but never wanted to support her and her ventures, and it looks like YITTY has both those muted earth tones and various nudes I loved about SKIMS and some vibrant, colorful options.
new song this week and she's performing double duty on SNL as the host and the musical guest. album announcement is so close I can taste it.

The album is called "Special" and is out July 15th. Warner EU posted it to their website earlier (together with the tracklist), then took it down promptly. But, the cover is still up - and it is fantastic.  |

The song is definitely a grower (although I wish everyone wasn’t going for an old school sound).
I don’t know how I feel with regards to her dropping the album in July, I wouldn’t have minded her doing a Camila and dropping it next month.

Looks like vinyl will be ready on time so they probably centered the release date around that (which should bode well for her first week). Gold vinyl pre-order on Amazon for those that care. |

Regarding About Damn Time, I’ve heard it only twice. First time with the video. Second time only audio. I was able to focus only on the music the second time and liked it better. It’s fun. I guess it can continue growing in me, but haven’t had the urge yet to listen to it again. She had one or two songs that style in the previous album.
Question, so is the goal to have an airplay hit with that song??? Or are they planning another single for that? Not sure I see pop radio opening their doors for that. Of course I do hope they do.
