Good thing everyone got their list in before it was ceremoniously wiped from all DSPs (except Amazon Music - "very much 'we don't want you to hear this' energy" per Cynthia). The song is a cover of the Summer Walker song from her debut EP Last Day of Summer.

Karma (Payback) was the lead single from Donell Jones' seventh album, 100% Free, released on Valentine's Day. Over the summer, he announced forming a supergroup with Dave Hollister and Carl Thomas named The Chi and plans for a remix of the song; I suppose RL and R&B King Jacquees were thrown in just for good measure.

Deborah Cox has so much better in her discography than that song. I liked the other of her songs from the First Wives Club EP better.

OMFG were my ears offended by "Offended" - lyrics about getting money via a big-spending man make me cringe because it reeks of hetero-normativity and the materialistic/consumeristic over-culture of the USA.
The only part I liked was the lyric "Bougie ain’t the word, I’m stylish"


In any case, all the songs out were in the bottom half of my list - so far, so good for me.

"Make You Feel Good" I think I overranked a bit but I kept coming back to it and it grew on me.

I really wanted to like "CPR" better just because I didn't want to have to give Deborah a low rank but it just didn't click with me. She's done much better songs before this.

And the same can be said for one of my usual favorites Muni! I adore her most times but I didn't like "Offended" her first track that I just didn't care for.

"Karma" I really loved this one, I hadn't expected to as I felt with so many names attached it'd feel overdone.

I only wanted Kelly out at #20 so I could hit a perfect rank but I missed it so oh well! I am amused that Finally made it this far.

Thug Cry was better when it was a debut-era Tinashe song. Didn't have much use for BJRNCK's take on the song title, sorry to say. Is rotating out random white/light-skinned blondes with no promo and hoping no one notices the body switch LA Reid's new marketing non-strategy? I guess.

Offended...mrm. I think in retrospect I ranked it four or five spots too low, but that still makes it a barely-avoiding-bottom-5 song so I can't feel too bad about it. I actually am into the lyrics but I just don't think they match well with that production/melody. Priscilla Muni should have played this up as high camp, but the beat is mid and it takes all the bite out of the punch lines. Very wasted potential IMO.
