Poor Columbia Records on the qts and rts To be fair to Columbia, "Butter" is kinda struggling to reach top 10 on Pop so they probably mean well (focusing on one song at a time at radio).

Does anyone know if Am I The Only One is only going to debut as high as it will because of sales? Because I never saw it on Spotify, it's not even in the top 1000 on AM, and I don't recall it having YouTube traction. Maybe it has Facebook streams (because those are being factored in now, and we all saw how those affected Tom MacDonald), but the song is already collapsing on sales and I don't expect it to last much longer than this week, just like with all these awful far-right excuses for songs.

I seriously doubt that it is going to debut very high on the Hot 100, Sales alone can't propel a Song to accumulate enough points to debut at a very high position on the Chart, Not when it's Streams are incredible weak.

This debuted at the Alt charts this week and it annoys me to no end that beabadoobee, Beach Bunny, and other female alt acts are barely given time to shine in favor of a TikToker turned Billie Eilish-clone

What's her story? What variety of plant is she? "Tik Tok star" Anyway, it debuted at #46 on an arbitrary genre chart where Billboard randomly decides what genre a song is. Lord knows she isn't charting there because rock fans are actually interested. It's hardly worth getting upset over. It'll be gone next week.

The way some posters (see above) get hung up on something - in this case a chart feat by 2 artists over the age of 40 who have a slow-burn hit (good for them!) that is defying the recurrency rules (which apply to every song). I just wish some of y'all could leave your own brains for a minute and realize how joyless it comes off. And ageist, in this case. If it were your favorite artist defying recurrency, you'd be (either silently or loudly) cheering it on. Instead, it's post after post about it being this dreadful thing.
It begs the question, what is your reasoning for carrying on about OTM it in a negative way? You don't like the artist(s)? The song? Their age? The super slow burn too much for you? What is the problem with this particular entry, exactly? And are you going to let it go, or turn what is otherwise and interesting and rare chart feat into something negative, like it's this huge stain on the chart?

The lyrics of "Fancy Like" are absolute garbage from Start to Finish, I literally can't stand Walker Hayes voice in this song. The worst lyrics in this Song would have to be these "She wanna dip me like them fries in her Frosty" and this "Bougie like Natty in the styrofoam". Why did this Country Song have to be the one to go viral on TikTok?. I can't believe I'm saying this but I would rather listen to "Drinkin' Beer. Talkin' God. Amen." then this abomination of a Song.

The problem I have is this song isn’t really making any impact. I could understand if it is charting high on at least one metric. OTM is an over 9-month old song that is outside the Top 1000 on Apple Music, not ranked on Spotify, and is barely ranked on the metric it is charting (#43 on radio). It should not be charting. OTM isn’t the only song that’s clogging up the charts. In my opinion, the recurrent rules aren’t doing enough. Mood and MEBF have been taking up spots in the 30-45 range, while not being that impactful anymore, and a 25/40 rule (instead of 25/52) would cut down on this.

Buddy, your points are undermined by how obviously you're trying to make sure Blinding Lights doesn't get hurt by a change, and thus why you wouldn't have the moxie to say something like making it 26/40, 39/20, and 52/15, because that would chuck that song too. One Too Many is gaining on both sales and Country radio, it has a good shot of hitting a new peak this week, and it'd be a shame if the chart didn't reflect that because it pushed the song to recurrency too soon.

Imagine your entire personality being obsessed about a song that's over 80 weeks old and another one that has never cracked top 60.
I am very curious about what happens when both songs eventually depart the charts.

I don't get why the recurrent rules need to be changed, it just makes the Hot 100 even more inaccurate than it already is.

I also proposed a 15-52 rule (and even then, BL would have charted 2 of the past 4 weeks), but I think it should come with a Top 10 protection. I would not want the Soko record to be broken artificially.

The way Spotify picks Doja's singles instead of her team is quite funny.
(Although tbh "You Right" is probably only a single because of the names attached instead of the song actually feeling like the next logical pick).

I'm imagining that it's another Butter situation, where Kworb's glitching, cause that doesn't seem right.
