Not really. I am a huge fan of Uptown Funk (and I'll even admit I'm a bigger fan of UF than BL), and rooted for Radioactive and Sail during their runs in 2014. Songs don't need to reach 52 weeks to be a big hit. Case in point, The Hills spent 'only' 48 weeks on the chart, but was still in the Top 25 as late as its 43rd charting week. I still view its legacy as better than some songs that limped their way to 52 weeks by charting in the 40s during the final weeks. Other than getting to the 52 week club, adding 4 more weeks in the 45-49 range would have not done much for The Hills. Mood and MEBF are legitimate hits whether they end up with 48, 49, or even 52 weeks. Adding a few more weeks charting in the 40s won't really add much to their legacy.Couldn't we say this about Blinding Lights though?? ? ? ? ? The difference is Blinding Lights is consistently charting in the Top 20, sometimes even in the Top 15, and is still beating out huge debuts/album releases. BL still feels stronger now than Circles/I Hope did in their final weeks. BL is still pulling ~140 points every week.

"good 4 u" about to hit #1 on Pop radio What's the last female debut album who has 2 #1s on Pop Radio? Camila Cabello comes to mind. ("Havana" & "Never Be The Same") If we revise this as the last female "breakthrough era/major label debut" to have 2 #1s, Lizzo's pair of #1s are more recent ("Truth Hurts" & "Good As Hell," both appear on Cuz I Love You). If neither answer satisfies you (since both Lizzo and Camila Cabello have "debuted" long before their solo #1 hits), Alessia Cara's "Here" and "Scars to Your Beautiful" must. (The latter hit #1 in early 2017, and was coincidentally taken over by... "Bad Things" by MGK and Camila Cabello.) Senorita was also #1 on pop,the same for my oh my (both were included on romance album) so camila's first two albums have 4 number one pop radio hits overall.olivia can have 3 number one pop radio hits (deja vu is rising on radio) and if they promote ''traitor'' as the next official single then I see another number one pop radio hit..if olivia scores 4 number one pop radio hits then 'sour' will be the first debut album since 'the fame' with 4 number one pop radio hits and I think Olivia will be the youngest artist to achieve that..

Abel should have also put Blinding Lights on discount this week to maximize chart position with the vinyls shipping this week. But seriously, there are more than 2 genres out there. Can iTunes put the 69-cent discount something other than country or R&B after this? I'm sick of seeing the same songs getting discounted. A song that’s been out for over 80 weeks is not going to get a big boost from an iTunes discount, jesus christ get over it If that's the case, then why do all these country and R&B songs, many of which are older than BL, still get big boosts from these discounts? Are the same people buying them over and over every few weeks when they are discounted? I didn't buy it the first, second, or 735th time they were discounted. I'm sure not going to the next time either.
