The HVME/24kGoldn/Quavo song is a remix of a German rap song (that was huge here) and I don't know if I like it or not, have never seen somebody turn a German song into an English one (minus Nena)
Also wondering what HVME has to do with the song because the production has been reused 1:1
LNX song is pretty catchy again, he just knows the game, still have to see the video though
Don't Go Yet was pretty... annoying? I think it might grow on me but after some listens it just does nothing for me, that chorus is too long and the whole song is too much and too little in one
My favorite new release is actually the Anne Marie/Little Mix collab, a bit basic but a fun little bop

Wasn't crazy about Industry Baby at first, but actually am coming around to it after a few more listens. Like I said, those horns are infectious. I was wondering why it sounded familiar and then I realized it kinda follows a similar pattern and flow to No Hands by Waka Flocka.

I just watched Industry Baby. Whoa! The Prison Break meets WAP music video was genius and LNX really have the budget on his mv's.
Camila's Don't Go Yet is fine. It's not her best tho. She and Shawn were like stucked on type of music they are producing. SeΓ±orita was their peak and they need to explore more in terms of musicality.
Also Don't Go Yet Mv is still less than 800k views since release π

Nas song was good. JH verse is the best part
Coldplay song is beautiful. Shocked that they could pull out something like this so late in their career. Hopeful.
Camila song is nothing special on first listen
Kid Laroi extension to his album has some good tracks. Like Not Sober and Same Energy a lot
Now one song I think everyone is forgetting is the new Bazzi, "I Like That" = BEST NEW SONG IMO

The Lil Nas song was alright but I haven't really been into any of the singles he's out out since Holiday,I preferred Harlow's verse on this one.
With that said I still support him for pushing the boundaries as a openly gay artist ofc even if a little flashy at times but that's the intention so it's not a problem lol
It really is amazing to see his rise to came play out before us,hopefully it paves the way for fellow LGBTQ artists to find more success.

Well this song itself isnβt that too far different from Havana sound wise. Iβm sure just like her first and second album there will be about 10 different βbuzzβ/promotional/test the water singles before one finally sticks. If you include Fifth Harmony she is now 5 albums in and nobody cares about her and she has yet to establish real interest from the public. They just depend on one big hit to drive the entire era each time while everything else flops (Worth It, Work from Home, Havana, Senorita). Itβs like Rihanna pre-Umbrella but way worse because this has gone on way longer and drained so much more money. |
