I didn't go into this rankdown expecting to rank this song so low, but whenever I shuffled the playlist, I just came to the realization that I never wanted to let this play in full. It had to suffer on my list in turn (btw it rose 5 from the Hot 100 RD) 12

What surprised you by either making or missing the top 10? Obviously "Another One Bites The Dust" falling just short of the Top 10 really did come as a complete shock to me.
Care to predict the order these songs leave in?
1. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb 2. Pink Floyd - Another Brick In the Wall, Pt. 2 3. Gary Numan - Cars 4. Pretenders - Brass in Pocket 5. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Refugee 6. The Clash - Train in Vain 7. Split Enz - I Got You 8. Peter Gabriel - Games Without Frontiers 9. Pat Benatar - Heartbreaker 10. Rush - The Spirit of Radio

25. Hit Me With Your Best Shot - Pat BenatarThis used to be my favorite Pat Benatar song. Still catchy as fire can get, and an easy top 5 for my list, but it also fell down a few slots. Those of us who ranked this high are forever sleeves to the melody 24. I Don't Like Mondays - The Boomtown Rats This song just takes a super nose dive down my list. I always thought it was boring and has no reason to be on this format. "Up All Night" and a couple of the extras we ran into are way better. 23. Whip It - DevoI agree with this slot for this song on mainstream, but I still think it got robbed on Modern Rock. Also one of those "pioneering New Wave" songs that opened the doors for the genre on Hot 100. 22. Ride Like the Wind - Christopher Crossback in my younger years I considered this one of the harder rocking jams on the top 40. That idea kinda stays in the back of your mind. Glad to finally see a deserving Christopher Cross song ride this high. 21. Misunderstanding - GenesisActually one of my favorite Genesis songs. Phil really puts the emphasis on his British vocals . I always dug that about this song. That and the main hook. 20. Living After Midnight - Judas PriestHeavy metal goes pop, but still possess a mean Biker groove. 19. Turn It On Again - Genesis This and "Misunderstanding" fall around the same slot for me. I do pick up on early "Abacab" vibes here , so some day I might even rank this one higher. 18. Hungry Heart - Bruce SpringsteenPop perfection. The fact this one gets an almost perfect top 40 ranks across the board crown says wonders about this jam. The reason I loved it is because of that retro vibe. easily sounds like something you could find in a 'Happy Days' Episode. Reminds me of why I love "Somebody's Baby". 17. Crazy Little Thing Called Love - QueenSpeaking of retro vibes. Certified classic here. Sounds ready for The 'Grease" soundtrack too. Imagine John Travolta performing this. Chicks , motorbikes and Leather. Three of my favorite things come together in one of my favorite Queen songs ever. BTW who would love to hear a Billy Idol cover of this? BTW, before I lose any more top 10. that Fleetwood Mac song can drop any time now.16. Heaven and Hell - Black SabbathSurprise surprise I never really liked this song and that's that. I love 'Neon Lights" and "Lady Evil" and probably would have ranked those two higher than most of you. I don't get that chills up my spine with this song as I do others. I kinda just sit there waiting for it to do something mind blowing, but it never really hits that apex for me. The fact that most of you who ranked this high ranked "You Shook Me...." lower is testament to that. Also I'm not gonna give the slot I would give to one of those other songs to this song, just because I didn't get to rank the other songs. This is the same story with that Iron Maiden song we ranked. They just not the songs I wanna rank. 15. Ashes to Ashes - David BowieStill love it, but it had its day. let some faster rock jams shine for a change. I'm sure all of you wanted this to slay on this format, but not today. Gary Numan "Cars" might tho. ..and I'm totally on bord for that. 14. Run Like Hell - Pink FloydI would have preferred this one i the top 10, than a certain snoozer. It's my second favorite song form this band. I really only care for three songs from this band, and this one sounds ready made for the format. 13. Sara - Fleetwood MacNot a favorite of mine. Too Too Lite rock for my taste. Fleetwood Mac is fine for the format. never had any problem with them or their sound. I just don't like this song. especially not showing up this high. 12. Don't Do Me Like That - Tom Petty & The HeartbreakersGreat slot. Love that this beats out a lot of other heartland/Southern rockers here. I had to sacrifice some songs to squeeze this one into my top 10, but it's so damn catchy I would have been committing a crime if I didn't. The lyrics still roll off my tongue like magic. Well at least "Sara" fell before I lost another top 10. One more to fall before the top. can I get a Pink Floyd snooze fest? 11. Another One Bites the Dust - QueenTwo Queen songs in my top 10. You won't witness that again until we hit 1977. For all the grief I give this for being Queen's most Disco song ever It's still one of my favorites ever. I even stuck up for it on Billboard's stoopid chart rules even after it spent 15 weeks in the Billboard top 10 (the longest running top ten song of 1980). You break the rulez when a song does that. Extras we havn't ran into. Johnny and Mary - Robert PalmerEither he or someone stole this melody from someone here. Maybe Luis Miguel again. Anyway, It's might catchy, but a doesn't emphasize on the parts where the music could have been stronger. making the song more memorable. It's a nice pop rock jam to download. Touch Too Much - AC/DCI think I called BRian Bon ,and visa versa in the last AC/DC post I made? Sorry. This is actually the immortal Bon Scott on vocals. This one rocks. pounding bass laced with hard hitting guitar chords and the whole song has a strong anthem roll to it. Biggest Part of Me - Ambrosia I don't recall this band too much. Just this song and the one I prefer "You're The Only Woman". This is that style of Lite Rock I would upgrade. I Can't Tell You Why - EaglesOne of my favorite Eagles ballads. Out of all the music styles that are still being produce these days this is that magic sound people just forgot how to write completely. Now they are all simple boring piano ballads. The pissy Music industry won't pay bands to write Pop ballads anymore, and that is why they suck now. R.I.P. the melodic Pop ballads of the 80's. Let's call that my rant of the night. Walking on the Moon - The PoliceThis is one of those songs that you all like, and I just never did. My rank would not have been welcomed. Hells Bells - AC/DCThis Back In Black album has got to one of the best Metal albums of all time. Robert "Mutt" Lange was surely the 80's powerhouse producer . So many hits. This song is no exception. You have your hard hitting anthem style guitars pounding behind Brian Johnson's screaches. Let's say an easy top 15 for me. There was still that Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers song I had to squeeze in my top
