Given my previous comments about production, it shouldn't come as a surprise then that I ranked "Please" so low. This was another album that for the most part was quite unmemorable to my ears, although "It Isn't Just Raining" is certainly an exception as it was one of the highlights that I remember.

Something about those background Plllllllease's in this one. That's exactly what I dislike about it lol

I'll still think "Betty's Got A Bass Boat" "Every Time" "The Hard Way" "Please" "Land Of The Living" Oh snap, will Kanenrá:ke be 5-for-5?! I myself think "Land of the Living" is safe and will make it to the top 20, though. I'll guess that "I Was Blown Away" will be the one to leave before then.

With that we are down to our Top 20! Which 5 will miss the top 15? Find out tomorrow night!

"I Was Blown Away" still sticks out like a sore thumb inside the top 20, but I'm also not surprised that "Blue Rose Is" ended up being the one to leave before then. Definitely one of her more overlooked singles from the beginning of her early career with Arista. While I do enjoy this one more than the others here, I will say that as a fifth single this one never stood a chance.

Speaking of "Blue Roses", that is in fact my highest-ranking song to exit thus far (just after I lost "The Hard Way" as well). Aside from those two, I still have 18 of my top 20 songs intact! Which 5 will miss the top 15? Find out tomorrow night! Going to go with these three that I'm most confident about: "Do You Know Where Your Man Is" "Put Yourself In My Place" "I Was Blown Away" As for the other two, I think it'll be two of these three: "Thunder and Roses" "I Said a Prayer" "Deep Down"

Ah would've been 5 for 5, I had "Blue Roses" as my 6th choice but I thought it would be more loved. I think tim is correct in what's going next except "Deep Down" will make it and "Land Of The Living" will go instead.

Lmao what's with all the "Land Of The Living" pessimism 😂 It is absolutely no surprise that it did not leave in the last two sets of reveals, and I will not be shocked if it doesn't leave in this set either.

Sorry I wasn't around for the last 15-20 reveals! The beginning-of-school wave is still threatening to overcome me... My only comment really is that last place ranks for "What You Believe In" is TRAGIC. I can understand being ambivalent to it, but to find it to be the worst song of her entire career is laughable. The resonance in her voice when she sustains that note coming out of the bridge is absolute heaven This sounds like it would have been a perfect song for somebody like Sara Evans, and Pam captures that energy well.

That's all Kanenrá:ke lol! I agree though as I'm pretty confident "Land of the Living" will land inside the top 15.

Pleasantly surprised to see "Thunder & Roses" in the top 20! This song sounds like a song that could have been a hit if it hadn't come right after the last of her radio starpower was gone (along with probably the label's willingness to push her stuff hard).
"Do You Know Where Your Man Is" is definitely one of her more forgotten early hits. Like its spot in the top 20 is justifiable, but it also makes sense for it to leave now. It is definitely not one that you would include in a playlist of her career-defining songs, other than the fact that she seems to like to perform it live based on the live albums she's put out throughout her career.

I really would've thought that "I Was Blown Away" would've been out before "I Said a Prayer".

I really would've thought that "I Was Blown Away" would've been out before "I Said a Prayer". To be fair, your condemnation of "I Was Blown Away" is almost as silly to read as Jordan's condemnation of "Land Of The Living" I say "almost" because I would definitely not be shocked to see it leave now before the top 15, unlike "Living" But back when y'all were expecting these songs to miss the top 25, I was judging!

Well, to be fair I was basing that more on the idea that I myself don't view "I Was Blown Away" to be amongst some of her most memorable hits and am in fact still surprised by how well-liked it appears to be on Pulse. I also tend to associate the song to the time period of the Oklahoma City bombing which is why the song was subsequently pulled from country radio.

Any predictions on what 5 will miss out on the Top 10? I'm going to guess it'll be these five songs: "It's Lonely Out There" "One of Those Things" "Deep Down" "Land of the Living" (finally Kanenrá:ke !) "Cleopatra, Queen of Denial"

Tim's random hate of "I Was Blown Away" is one of those really head-scratching moments for sure.

"I Said A Prayer" is a good song on paper, but unfortunately I am not in love with the final product. The whole Every Time album sounds SO dated in comparison to the rest of her career, such that when you play this song alongside all of Pam's other top 20 hits this one is the one that sounds like it has the smallest budget, which is really unfortunate considering that it is actually her most recent top 20 hit "Put Yourself In My Place" is another one of the more forgettable hits from her first few albums, so if we were going to lose "Blue Rose Is" and "Do You Know Where Your Man Is" before the top 15, it makes complete sense for this one to not be far behind. It is still a great song, but definitely has not been able to maintain any sort of profile while sandwiched between songs like "Don't Tell Me What To Do", "One Of Those Things", "Maybe It Was Memphis", "Shake The Sugar Tree", "Let That Pony Run", etc. "I Was Blown Away" is far from being one of my favorite Pam songs, but it is finishing in a good place. It is definitely remembered alongside her hits, despite the fact that it was pulled before it reached a natural peak. Maybe that's because it was such a strong performer before it got suddenly pulled.

Now is where the pain truly begins! While there are definitely a couple songs I'm ready to get rid of, there definitely are not FIVE of them that deserve to miss the top 10....... :'(
That being said, these will be my predicted five: "Cleopatra, Queen of Denial" "Deep Down" "Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life)" "Land Of The Living" "In Between Dances"

kicking things off tonight is "Cleopatra, Queen of Denial" that both bboat11 and tim predicted would miss the Top 10, and miss it does. This song flirted with the top 10 but was never really a contender as it floated more between 11-15 throughout submissions. I'm happy this song is both in the top 15, and happy that it misses the top 10 because as much as I love this song it doesn't touch most of the remaining songs.
