I have really high standards for Abel so Take My Breath is good, it's not amazing on the same level as I Feel It Coming or In Your Eyes

The CD single (which I got) features an extended version which I'm sure will drop later this week and probably contains the whole of the snippet that we got earlier this week. |

I have really high standards for Abel so Take My Breath is good, it's not amazing on the same level as I Feel It Coming or In Your Eyes f**k that, this is an amazing song that hits so hard. This song and his feature on Donda will generate 2 more hits for the year end i guarantee. It is a good song as I said and will support a good run on the charts and who knows, this could grow on me the same way the Save Your Tears remix did. But as I said, it's not quite at the level as my favorite retro-flavored cuts. But also again, this might be better in context of The Dawn |

It feels strange to me to be reading this thread this early and not seeing the HITS and Headline Planet articles about the new releases. I actually am in France. I normally live in the American continent, so the time difference with the East coast of the US is not as marked as it is here.

Take My Breath is phenomenal and I am very pleased it'll hopefully take over from SYT as Abel's top 10 charting hit.
Also I'm unsure of how to link things here but Take My Breath has been serviced to US Pop, Hot AC/ AC and Rhythmic Radio

To be fair, he did want Heartless to get a shot at the top which it did happen but this time heβs fully committed to this #1 spot from day 1. No midweek bs like Starboy and Heartless, no dropping the entire project at once like MDM, and he doesnβt have to worry about any come up or slow momentum like BBTM. This is the first lead single of his thats released on a Friday, so itβs going to hit harder. |

I honestly think Take My Breath is likely to land a #1 debut. Abel's at his absolute peak popularity, I've seen nothing but positive reception for the song, and he's guaranteed to get solid radio.
We'll have to see how his first few days of streams look to be sure though. Stay has actually been gaining lately so it could be close. It doesn't hurt that he doesn't have to worry about BTS now either.
