Not Kanye cheating the 750 artists featured on Donda out of a Hot 100 entry lmao. Lil Baby, The Weeknd and JAY-Z all got cheated out of an extra top 10 entry. Isn't this a pattern for him? I am thinking of "All of the Lights" and others. He also didn't credit any of the many featured artists on The Life of deleted so he's credited as a solo artist on all the songs off the album that charted on the Hot 100. |

The only reason I like this week's chart is cause the album bomb at least helps open new space up on the charts
Too bad the album bomb is Donda which I found to be very mediocre and is then going to be followed by CLB which I refuse to even listen to since every reliable source I know is telling it's worse than Scorpion.
Once the songs from those two fall out though I'll be happy to see some new songs on the chart.

Fell a bit too hard on streams, little presence on digital sales and zero airplay... it needed to sustain day one streams through the week. Jail is kinda low tho... maybe the two versions weren't combined? |

At least she can say she contributed to why Butter got a 10th week at 1. I think she would have preferred a third #1 hit to her name. That's the only reason she worked with BTS in the first place. That is certainly not the only reason. She now has the ARMY in her good graces. Surely you can understand why that's beneficial even if she doesn't get credited for a sole week at #1. I don't think she's upset in any way. Plus, she could have also just wanted to be on the track. Maybe she's a fan herself. Seems to me you're being very accusatory for no reason and narrow minded. |

She did the Butter remix with BTS for the very same reason Jason Derulo did a BTS remix for Savage Love: they know how powerful BTS fans are when it comes to mass-buying and they know they can score #1s easily. Megan wanted another #1 hit to her name but that ended up not happening. |

And the ARMY is not keeping anyone on their good graces. They turned on Halsey late last year even after Boy With Luv bc they said she was just using them for clout.
(As if BTS didn't do the same and feature everyone they could on their songs before they discovered mass buying, see also SIA and Nicki).

Donda has 27 songs, so the album success on streaming kind of hid the fact that none of the songs were huge. |

I don't mind "Butter" returning to #1 this way. It's a remix game a lot of artists have done. So that doesn't bother me that much, though the mass buying is a different story.
Seeing "Fancy Like" go up to #9 is funny. It's not a great song by any means, but I see this potentially reaching the heights of "Body Like a Back Road" or even higher and at least this song is marginally better even if it's a Sam Hunt rip-off.
And I do hope 'Donda' leaves quickly. We can't have two big mediocre albums plugging up the charts, unlike 'Sour' which was actually decent.

It's interesting that despite Marilyn Manson's success, this is his/their only appearance on the Hot 100, and only as a technicality as Manson and DaBaby aren't credited I don't think.
