It's debatable, she leaned more into pop because she got more support from the pop and alternative scene over the country scene. She's been blacklisted from country radio since her second album pretty much.

lil nas wanted to break mariah's record with old town road and that's why he released 100 remixes!!! the only explanation that I have for call me by your name promotion being bigger than industry baby is because Lil nas wanted to prove that he can score another #1 hit..maybe the underperformance of ''rodeo'' and ''holiday'' made him anxious and he went all out with call me by your name.. industry baby was an easy #1 debut (the points with butter were close) but maybe he thought that he didn't have nothing else to prove anymore so he didn't care at all.

I know IB is factually pretty big, but it feels like I haven't seen any buzz about it since release week.

While Montero has had good staying power and sustained attention.
