A little birdie randomly had told me that info the other day too, but I don't really know who the birdie is so I was cautiously believing them. They also said an album title but I think I'm going to hold off on that and let Kelly's team release that info. I don't want to spread something false if this person was giving out wrong info. The album news shouldn't be too far off anyway.
I also know that she sang Tightrope at one of the tapings this week too. The person that gave me that info thinks it was similar to the tour version. So there's another KC Original coming our way on the show.

Wow I never thought she would sing Tightrope again considering she wrote it about her and Brandon. Super excited to be getting that! That song is some of her best writing!

Easily her best performance on that show, as a guest performer or judge. They sound great together but Kelly’s voice on that song is insane the SOUL.

Was honestly worried Ariana would come on The Voice and make Kelly seem a bit out of her depth and weak...the way that video (not that we can or would compare) made me think the opposite all of a sudden.

Right like,,, to be in the 20th year of your career and (imo, obviously Ariana is amazing) outsing the biggest vocalist of the moment without breaking a sweat... being a Kelly fan is just so regularly invigorating. And it's a joy to watch the general public realize what we've all been talking about for 10+ years now.

"Out of her depth and weak".....lol I have many worries but this is never one of them. Well, Kelly tends to be very accommodating and gracious with her duet partners. Tanking the lower harmony lines, and relinquishing the stuntier parts of performances to her duet partners. Add that the fact that the Kellyokes on the show can oftentimes be a bit soccer mommsy, so I was wondered those things would conspire to make her pale in comparison to Ari. Instead she came on looked, moved, performed and sang with ease and confidence we haven't seen in a long while and dare I say the overriding opinion is that she cleaned their clocks. A win! |

Kelly is a beast vocalist who can convey emotion and enunciate and Ariana is very capable vocally so I can see the respect being shown towards each other |

With this song coming out so early, do we think they have a better song to release? You usually get one shot with Christmas singles because they only get airtime for a few weeks. I’m wondering if this is just a lead-in and they plan to drop an official single, maybe also the name of the album, closer to November. Well, umm, given that it took Underneath The Tree, what - 5 years? To become a Christmas staple, how long would you like them to give Christmas Isn't Cancelled a shot promo/rollout/playlisting wise before Christmas day this year, a week? Christmas projects get finished by Summer and rollout plans get put into place pre-Fall, and begin in the middle of it. That's just sort of the way of things. Granted it's happening a little earlier than it used to but that's not a Kelly thing, we're already getting drip feeds of new Michael Bublé holiday songs and other rumors about other artists doing their own for instance. It might seem odd, but it won't do when the single comes end of Sept, the album drops in October, the video, the song's Voice performance and TKCS pushes are amongst the way they spend two months promoting it thereafter (with the rumored NBC special thrown in there), while working the tracks at radio and have enough sales to justify them cranking it all up again next September. Of course Christmas Isn't Cancelled is the lead (and likely only radio single) from this project for this campaign, as least year, and there's nothing odd about that at all from a timing perspective. If anything, it makes it seem like they're going to spend a lot of time, money and resources promoting the project and that can only be a good thing IMO. Not to mention anybody who wants to get any announcements and releases out before the Adeleteroite coming in Q4 smart to. |

Missing Kelly's "A Minute + A Glass of Wine" segments. I mean we're not experiencing a lack of content in ANY way 😂 but those segments had very funny moments.
