Still failing to see your point beyond your lack of getting anything so don't worry you will understand when his next era starts and he will probably underperform without controversy.. Miley Cyrus teas!! What does his commercial performance have to do with proving he's more than controversy. Doesn't the critical acclaim he's been getting (currently 85 on Metacritic, 72 from users on AOTY, and 3.19 on RYM) prove that to many people, he's surpassed any gimmicks and is making good music?

Earth, Wind & Fireβs βSeptemberβ Has Another Big Streaming Day β on Sept. 21, of Course Kevin Rutherford 10 hrs ago Comments |
On Sept. 21, βSeptemberβ drew 1.5 million on-demand U.S. streams, according to MRC Data. Thatβs a 322% surge over Sept. 20, when the song racked up 352,000 streams.
Further, 1.4 million of the songβs streams on the 21st were via on-demand audio streaming services. Thatβs an 18% year-over-year gain on its big day: On Sept. 21, 2020, the track garnered 1.2 million clicks on-demand audio platforms.
βSeptemberβ also sold 2,500 downloads on Sept. 21, 2021, a 733% vault from the day before.
Meanwhile, the song earned 2.5 million global on-demand streams Sept. 21, up 147% from Sept. 20. Removing the U.S. from the equation, βSeptemberβ was streamed 974,000 times in non-U.S. territories, a 50% spike from the previous day.
βSeptemberβ could impact various Billboard charts dated Oct. 2, encompassing the Sept. 17-23 tracking week. In 2020, the song bowed at No. 113 on the then-new Billboard Global 200, and it returned to Digital Song Sales at No. 19. It has bettered its position every year on the latter list since 2018, debuting at No. 26, followed by a No. 25 re-entry in 2019.
βSeptemberβ was originally a Billboard Hot 100 top 10 over four decades ago, hitting No. 8 in February 1979, becoming Earth, Wind & Fireβs fourth of seven career top 10s. The group, which formed in Chicago in 1969, is currently enjoying its first top 10 in 28 years on Billboardβs Adult R&B Airplay chart with βYou Want My Loveβ; the single, featuring Lucky Daye, rises from No. 9 to No. 8 on the Sept. 25 survey.

Unfortunately, itβs nearly impossible to reason with an anti-vax Chris Brown stan. anti-vax of these specific evil vaccines.not vaccines overall..I'm not against of vaccines who are 'legit' with many years of experiments..yes if you want to call me antivaxx because I don't trust these vaccines who came out after only 9 months and many people died after the vaccination then yes I'm a proud avti vaxxer.. yesterday my neighbour died 2 days after the vaccination with Pfizer (2nd dose)..so I'm happy that I'm an anti vaxxer and a chris brown stan..But let's not talk about this again on hot 100 thread..also you should find other reasons to attack me..the ''antivaxxer'' and ''chris brown stan'' are so old news..

RIP IB, scammed out of number 1 by Butter and it didn't have enough steam to beat out Stay. LNX's best song deserved better. We can hope it might Peak at 1 if streaming holds up and airplay gains.

I blame Columbia for this. If they really wanted IB to go #1, they would have helped him get there. I'm pretty sure another #1 (with IB) would help their label more than another week of #1 for Butter or Stay, as they were already long running #1's. The fact that they didn't shows that LNX is not the first or even second priority at Columbia.

I don't understand why 'need to know' struggles to go top 10...great radio updates, nice streaming numbers.. it has a music video..the longevity of 'you right' is amazing but doja really needs a new hot 100 top 10 hit..I thought 'need to know' was the next top 10 hit but it takes too long to rise

well, need to know is 12 on spotify, 40 on apple, 37 on radio, 64 on itunes. none of those is top 10. she was top 5 on apple music before drake comes, and youngboy tracks will fall in a few hours.. it's weird cause 'you right' is still higher on hot 100 with only radio support

Why does Doja need another Top 10 though? I think she is fairly happy and in the spotlight with her 6 viral smashes

Prediction - This is going top 10 when the MV drops and they start playlisting it. rising rapid on radio, went from 200k a day to 500k + a day in less two weeks with no tiktok effect

I know it's hard to predict this stuff, but it sucks that Doja's label chose the worst single to push on radio. If you added You Right's radio points to Need to Know, it would have ~220 points - enough for #7 overall! Now with the streams starting to decline, I think it'll probably miss out on a top 10 peak.

It's so stupid. Lord knows I would've bought some singles.

phieaglesfan712 So, now that you're able to see the numbers, do you understand why people were calling you hasty and wrong about calling both Industry Baby for this week and Fancy Like for the week after next? Especially silly was when Winston said the song would be up 30% in points and you said that locked it for #1, and that's the gain it got and it wasn't even close (I wanted to call you out at the time but figured you'd just be stubborn about it). Fancy Like is additionally at only ~70% of Stay's total, with the latter only slightly dipping and the former's gains having slowed down with consumption on the downswing despite the radio rally. You must concede that the paces don't line up for it to take the crown that soon, if at all.

Itβs been more than doubling the sales of Stay, despite not being discounted while Stay has been discounted weeks on end. When the discount is removed, and Iβve got to think Stay is going to peak on radio soon, itβs going to lose a lot of points in a short period of time (see what happened with Levitating after the discount was removed post-DaBaby incident). Unless BTS stans decide to mass buy My Universe for weeks on end, when Stay inevitably falls, no song is in a better position right now to slide into #1 than FL.

Gentle reminder about the itunes discount being a major factor in chart positioning
The biggest songs that are not recorded by BTS will only move 10-15 thousand in a week (discount or not)
Elton John's new song for instance is top 10 digital but barely charting on the big chart - for example
With non BTS sales mostly a non factor - itunes discounts really don't do much

I like that you're consistently forgetting Way 2 Sexy exists which still has massive streaming and is already up to #24 on the kworb radio charts after just 12 days. Also even if STAY does peak soon (which might be a month or 2 from now), that doesn't mean it's going to fall so soon. You saw how slow it took for them to drop Blinding Lights and Mood and Levitating and Save Your Tears, what makes you think STAY won't have a molasses drop from the Top 10 either?

Does anyone have a full list of every song to peak at #2 for multiple weeks behind 2 (or more) different songs? I know there's Need You Now and Lights.

I think I've solidified my Top 5 of MONTERO:
1. THATS WHAT I WANT 2. AM I DREAMING 3. ONE OF ME 4. INDUSTRY BABY 5. SUN GOES DOWN
LOST IN THE CITADEL is a close #5 and shout out also to DOLLA SIGN SLIME for a hilarious Megan verse
