Note of things to take away from this chart:
Max Martin defines the music of the generation. There are some common links throughout the years, but I do find it surprising this guy wrote "...Baby One More Time". I'm impressed what he's been able to accomplish throughout the years...
This new collaboration between Coldplay and BTS is okay; this pairing might leave you scratching your head at first, but stylistically it makes sense. Most people may blow them off, but they have generated a lot of hype. This felt like a fluke a few years back, but be prepared to see more of them to come.

A Billboard chart's #1 spot being openly manipulated for 5 months straight has to be a record.

37 weeks in the Top 10 for Levitating is something I absolutely didn't expect, I'm assuming this has surpassed Don't Start Now and New Rules as her biggest hit in the US? With ease. Neck and neck with DSN on a WW basis, but stateside it's no contest. And it's probably got at least a handful of weeks to get more points on the Hot 100. By one measure, Mediatraffic has DSN at #46 while Levitating is at #131 in their All-Time Global Chart by points.

Interesting that over the last 20 years or so, the list of artists with 10 or more #1's has not drastically changed at all (Rihanna and Drake being the only ones to cross the threshold), proving how hard it is to achieve this milestone. If BTS are the next ones, it would really cheapen the accomplishment somewhat.

I'm imagining the 10th might be "SICKO MODE"? I don't think Billboard credits that to him.

I mean, it's Billboard's rules, but we all know "Way 2 Sexy" is Drake's 10th #1, just like we know that good 4 u spent 10 weeks at #1, and Teenage Dream has 6 #1s...

If we just decide everything, what's the point in following the charts?
