^ yeah, because his fanbase is as big as Harry’s. He's too far gone dont bother. Let the rambling man scream about his predictions that never come true If my prediction didn’t come through, then why did I get a partial win on predictions last week? I was the only one who correctly predicted IB at #3 and W2S at #4. In fact, believe it or not, the only reason why I didn’t get a perfect prediction (of all things) was because I underestimated Fancy Like.

I think it will debut much higher because charts are not that strong and the Barbz are motivated . Who knew being accused of harassing a victim was so rallying Of course the first one to go solo from Little Mix was also the most problematic birds of a feather I guess . I know we rag a lot about the BTS stans but the Barbz are worse for being complicit in this d baggery

Dear Mr Phieagles, It's not your top 10 predictions that annoy people, it's your inability to get past certain topics. I get that you think FL will go number 1, I get that "Bad Habits is too old for radio" and I get that you are speculating about a possible WS-esque push for FL before Adele. And why do I know this?? Because you've bought it up before. New topics please! Let's not get stuck on the same comment about the same situation

Looks like they actually are gonna try and push Fancy Like to #1 next week. They just released a new music video for the Kesha remix.

At least the Kesha remix of "Fancy Like" sort of made the song better, But the song itself is still awful. I'm not looking forward to seeing "Fancy Like" potentially go to #1 on the Hot 100, Although if Kesha ends up getting credited on the Hot 100 then I wouldn't actually mind it if the song did end up getting to #1 on the Hot 100.

Some of you are setting some very unrealistic standards for Adele with this single. We know she's Adele and whatever she drops will do a lot of damage, especially in the first day/first week, but don't start setting ridiculous commercial expectations for her with this new album and then acting disappointed if/when she doesn't meet those expectations. It's been 6 years since her last album. The music industry has changed a whole lot since 2015, so as much as there'll be a lot of social media fanfare around her return, I won't be surprised if her new single doesn't perform half as well as Hello did because I'm honestly not expecting it to. A #1 debut, no matter how strong or weak, is the only commercial expectation I have for the single and one which I think is fairly reasonable. From that point on, it'll be a matter of how much people connect with the song to keep supporting it (as these things usually are). I tried to suggest that she might just miss 1m albums on her first week and damn people here are kinda expecting 25-like numbers... There is nowhere to go for her but down from the 25 highs. It's not her fault, it's the market. Even Taylor and Drake have dropped below the 1m consistently now. yeah, and I agree with pretty much everything, but it's different when you drop from 1,1 or 1,3 and from 3,5m. It's crazy to expect another 3m from her, but I don't see why is 1m that high for Adele?

It's not her fault, it's the market. Even Taylor and Drake have dropped below the 1m consistently now. I think people are just excited for her return and imagine that since her last two albums smashed everything to smithereens, her next album will do the same (seeing as she's really the only person in the entire industry who can release an album and have that level of fanfare and commercial dominance to go along with it) but I feel like people are really just setting her up to fail because the commercial expectations they have for her next album most likely won't be met. I definitely won't be surprised if she doesn't hit the 1M mark (I frankly don't expect her to hit the mark tbh). The fact that Taylor Swift hit that mark 4 consecutive times from 2010-2017 with 4 albums but missed the mark with Lover in 2019 should tell you that it'll be hard for anyone else to hit that mark ever again and like you said, it's less about the artists/their commercial viability dwindling and more about the current mindset of the general public when it comes to buying music vs. how much streaming has grown in the last couple of years. It's simply now a lot more difficult to get people to buy music the way they used to and vinyl sales can keep growing but it'll never grow enough to offset the dips in digital sales/other physical formats. I'm actually more interested in seeing what numbers Adele pulls long-term streaming-wise because I think that'll be the best indication of her current commercial-standing but I know people will only focus on her pure sales figures to get a good guage of that.

I think Adele (hopefully) saved us from a Fancy Like #1, the Kesha remix is helping it but I don't think it's a big enough presence to put it in serious competition with Stay and then Easy On Me is gonna absolutely dominate for the foreseeable future

Ghost should be entering the hot 100 in a couple of weeks. I predict it will go top 10 on the hot 100. LOL. It's not even top 200 on AM or spotify. Highly doubt this. Not sure if a video will give it the streaming numbers it needs to go top 10 when it's numbers r currently incredibly low

Looks like they actually are gonna try and push Fancy Like to #1 next week. They just released a new music video for the Kesha remix. is this actually a possibility based on only the release of a music video ?? I’m not invested in pro or con just asking a genuine question. It hurts me to say next week will belong to Icki Minaj

Just the insane barbs still willing to stick with her pedo apologist ass and her new audience of braindead conservatives. Also Little Mix has never had a hit in the US, no matter how much they tried, the US just doesn't want them. Jesy isn't gonna go #1, maybe Top 20 at the most because barbs love to spend money on their queen of sexual predators. But that's all. I predict it'll debut like #19 and then Adele will sweep that shit away like a tsunami the following week.

Before stay came out I was the only one who even mentioned the song was being released and said it was a future #1 and then it happened. Also I wouldn’t expect high streams from an album track from an album that came out 7 months ago nearly and had no playlist push. 600k on Spotify ain’t awful for that

Yea there's a good chance the Nicki x Jesy Nelson song isn't even a contender for the top 20 next week, she's peaked lower collabing with artists who are MUCH bigger in the US than Jesy

I still think it'll stick around a bit longer, but after it peaks on Country in the next month or so, it won't have the same Pop/Hot AC traction to fall back on that I Hope had. This is BLABR all over again.

Didn’t Nicki hop on a remix and collabed with a questionable artist and they both went to #1 just last year, which were not only her first #1s but also the other artists’ only #1s (to date)? If the Barbz come together again for this instance, there’s no doubt they could pull off a #1 if not a high enough peak especially with the charts and stan power being one of the factors now.

If the Barbz come together again for this instance, there’s no doubt they could pull off a #1 if not a high enough peak especially with the charts and stan power being one of the factors now. The big difference is that Say So and TROLLZ had great stats in other categories to fall back on to help them achieve their #1's - Say So was nearing its peak on Pop when Nicki's remix was released, and 6ix9ine had always pulled in great YouTube numbers even when they were heavily inflated by bots.* Jesy Nelson has had nothing like this to speak of on the Hot 100; even when she was with Little Mix, every single song that group charted never even cracked the top 50 here. I get that Boyz will be shipped to Pop upon release, but even if Nicki stans pull all the plugs in the world, I don't see it peaking higher than top 20 simply because of how little Jesy matters in the States. (*EDIT: I forgot that TROLLZ was released at a time when bundles were still allowed to be counted for the Hot 100, so that had to have helped immensely with sales. Had those not been counted, maybe it would still have a shot at #1, but its sales figures would never have been as strong.)

I think Adele (hopefully) saved us from a Fancy Like #1, the Kesha remix is helping it but I don't think it's a big enough presence to put it in serious competition with Stay and then Easy On Me is gonna absolutely dominate for the foreseeable future Also, FL's Pop traction appears to have begun stalling out already. I still think it'll stick around a bit longer, but after it peaks on Country in the next month or so, it won't have the same Pop/Hot AC traction to fall back on that I Hope had. This is BLABR all over again. Literally everything you're saying is inaccurate, as FL is still making huge gains on pop, and also gaining on Hot AC, and after huge country crossovers start declining on country, they almost always stick around on pop/Hot AC for a while, serving huge longevity, which BLABR did as well, so I don't know why you'd bring that up.

Well, everyone’s got a bad take in them every once in a while. I probably should’ve looked before I leaped on that one.

My Universe - the ending is so cool. Why didn’t they introduce that beat earlier in the song or keep it throughout. Would have been better.
Cold Heart - I can’t think of a song (remake) that takes lyrics from one song for the verses, then a completely different song for the chorus. Genius. Incredible song.

Actually, Elton's and Pnau's album from 2012 did that on all songs IIRC
